Hmm, I take that back.
It kept bringing me to a Swedish page but it's working now.
I had to go onto Honda Haven to get the link and that had a hyphen in it.

Not sure if i want to know how you know we're trading on Honda Haven :pac:. not much trade on there anyway, have a few other owners clubs in the pipline to trade on. not as simple as signing up and paying up on a lot of them apparently.

The cigarette lighter wasn't working.... :pac:

Cabling and looms all stripped out. Just the subframe, fuel tank, carpet rear axle, a few body panels and off it goes

Got a set of powerflex poly bushes fitted to the ST.
Makes the car feel a lot tighter and responsive in the corners.

Very worthwhile investment

Nice, they are cheaper than the ford ones too. Deffo gonna invest too when mine need replacing.

Fraud wanted €400 for each wishhbone as they dont relapce the bushes :eek:
The powerflex ones cost me 140 and got them fitted by a mate.

Have plans for springs at some stage soon, but clutch and diff will be first I reckon,

If you fit a diff and an RS clutch you should go for the CP320.

I would only for the fact you really need the diff and clutch for it to be worthwhile and afew small suspension mods so you are talking 3 -4k which i don't have atm.

May just settle for a decat and custom map or handset and possibly some 4" slash cut rolled in rear pipes purely for cosmetic reasons as mine are all scratched

A fairly hectic day for me... Well, most of the day. Morning was running about everywhere. Afternoon was well spent...

First, off with the other cover

Cut off brackets for Polo and weld up other hole...

Weld on Peugeot fitment

Then run out of wire halfway through welding!

Oh well, I have most of the hard work done...

Good point BUT the white-worm affects people all over the world even those who don't use an acidic wheel cleaner.

AFAIK, It's cause by tiny pieces of the lacquer chipping off and the metal underneath corrodes. Yes, the Meguiar's stuff would be the cause of it in this case but it can also be caused simply by the underlying metal being exposed to the elements.

OSI - If you want to stop if getting worse due to using a wheel cleaner, stop using Hot Rims and get yourself a tub of Meguiar's Wheel Brightener. It comes in 3.5 litre tubs and you dilute it down so the one tub will last you ages.

It's nowhere near as acidic as hot rims and products that are this acidic should not be used constantly, only when the brake dust is heavily baked onto the wheel. You do not need such a strong cleaner if you wash your car at least once a fortnight.

Another small update ...

It's been around 8000 miles since her last full service, I thought I'd treat her to fresh oil and oil filter (Castrol Edge 5w30). I know the Long Life Oil can be used for up to 20,000 miles but I don't think it does any harm to keep the changes more frequent.

Whilst I was at it, I changed the rear discs to EBC Turbo Groove thanks to Dave at CDI along with Yellow Stuff pads. They didn't need to be done but I just wanted to tidy up the rear brakes as they had quite a lot of surface rust and the Turbo Groove discs match the Brembo BBK up front a lot better than the standard items. Painted the standard calipers black to tidy up things further. I've also picked up a litre of Castrol React Performance DOT4 fluid but haven't had the time yet to flush, re-fill and bleed the system.

Bored one night on Amazon and bought a pair of LED fog light bulbs which should better match the Angel Eyes & Xenons - don't worry they'll only be used in fog.

50/50

Close-up - they're quite very bright so should be more effective than the previous bulbs which wouldn't light a dark room (Please ignore my dirty front bumper).

Next on the list of things to do / consider - ACS roof spoiler & front plate delete. If the weather holds out a couple of coats of AG SRP & HD Wax could be on the cards too!

Going to a club meet tomorrow so spent the afternoon polishing and waxing the Bertone (already has dust on it from the garage - motorway should sort that

) Will have clean car pics up during the week.

Before I put the feet up I got an idea to do a bit of carbon wrapping so whipped off the front grill and made a subtle change to it.

So, comparison shot (left as normal, right side wrapped):

I hate seeing posts where people have nice clean cars or are able to do stuff to make the cars look nicer! All my jobs lately have been mechanical. The wife's Focus II 1.4 which has 250k kms on it has developed a sticking starter so a few weeks ago I took it out and oiled the shaft lightly but yesterday and today it was a b!tch to start so took it out and oiled the feck out of it. As long as it lasts till thursday I'll be happy as we going to England to the wife's father's place and I can get a starter €70 cheaper there than here so will put it in on thursday providing we get there!! Oh and put two new rear tyres on it.
