Sarz91 wrote: » Just a quick question. Every FPS I play it seems I always run out of room on my mouse mat. I have to pick up the mouse and put it back in the center of the mouse mat. Is this to do with the DPI or am I just an oaf when it comes to pc gaming? I think it's 1600 DPI.

Monotype wrote: » Sounds like you have sensitivity too low. If you can't do anything with the mouse itself, there's usually an option in the game menu. If you don't see anything there, go to the start menu and type mouse (or if your mouse has its own individual software). Go to pointer options and move the pointer speed up a bit. I recommend that you untick the box for enhance pointer precision - This accelerates mouse movement the faster you use move the mouse, fine for windows but not so good for FPS aiming if you want to stay consistent. It will take a bit of getting used to but you should be better off in the long run.

Sarz91 wrote: » No, I no. I've played at 70-85 sensitivity and it still happens. The pointer thing is full too.

ShadowHearth wrote: » As mono said it is defenetly problem with sensitivity. Check all games and windows it self. Was there any software with mouse? Or any manual way of switching dpi? You might accidentally switch dpi to 100 etc. My mouse is able to do 3500dpi and old one 5600dpi, but it is not needed by a long shot. I am currently using only 1800dpi.
Monotype wrote: » You have this up to full? (Untick the box for more consistent movement in FPS, but it's still useful at other times, e.g., laptops or strategy games). Something's not right then. Is the mouse very fast at moving across the screen in windows? It should be nearly difficult to control at all with it flying out to the sides at the slightest movement- well you should easily be able to get across in one movement along the mouse pad anyway. Try a different mousepad. It could be that the mouse is just f----d. Even most €12 mice these days should do better than that unless it's on the way out. Is it a wireless mouse?
Monotype wrote: » I think they're fugly, but at least it will work. Be sure to readjust your windows mouse settings when you get a new one. Your mouse is clearly on its way out then if it was working before. I suppose you could test it out with another machine to make sure it's not something that got corrupted in windows or a game.

ShadowHearth wrote: » i used this for awile and it is ****.http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/peripherals/sentineladvance/ i got my deathadder yesterday and it is so much better. It is one of those mouse which is praised by a lot of gamers. let alone that it was released ages ago and they still upgrade it and improve it, but keeping same design. that says a lot, because a lot oof razor mouses just disapear after some time. its just good, tested by time, mouse. very comfortable and easy to use. just if you are going for one, then make sure you go for black edition or 3.5g edition, those got some improvements and updated infrared sensor. i got the 3.5g edition non black as it has that rubbery mat finish, which feels a lot better in hand.
