First PC build

Can someone spec a build for me? want it to play all new games on high settings if possible. I know its probably a stretch. preferably under 600-700 including everything except screen and keyboard. all help appreciated thank you

1. What is your budget? 600-700
2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming/Video editing/Internet
3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes
4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No
5. Do you need a monitor? no
6. Do you need any of these peripherals? nonoe
7. Are you willing to try overclocking? preferably no
8. How can you pay? debit
9. When are you purchasing? next week

Would you be able to check? It's either 1280x1024 or 1366x768 though. Anyway here's what I whipped up.

That's the German version of Windows, so you need to download the English disc and use the key in the German copy. If you wanted to save some money you could drop down to the i3 2120 which is the same as the i5 in gaming but weaker in video editing. Or you could drop down to the HD7770 video card or HD6850 as the resolution you're playing at isn't very demanding. All you need is a keyboard as the ones on that site are in German layout.

Also, they normally do bank transfer. If you don't want to do that, they offer PayPal at an extra 3% charge.

ive got a bit of a build on aria for around 630 pounds so a bit over but included a screen and all that, will post it here later

would nvidia be better than amd gpu as i quite like the look of physX and i wont be using eyefinity?

I also considered an amd build as im moving from xbox to pc recording and it seems as though an 8 core 8150 will record and play better than an i5, am i corredt saying this?

Physx is a gimmick that few games make use of. The i5 is much better than the 8150 gaming wise, I'd say the 8150 does a bit better in the editing and very well in multi-threaded applications but the i5 being better overall. Aria aren't as good value as Hardwareversand so chances are you could get the same build for cheaper.

i think by what youre saying that an amd 8150 would be better for playing and recording with no decrease in performance while an i5 would be better while not recording but would see a dip in performance while recording

will look up Hardwareversand later to see what i can get out of it for my budget

No that's not what I'm saying. The i5 murders the 8150 in gaming, recording at the same time decreases the abilities of both chips equally. However, in things like photoshop and editing said recordings, the 8150 is in front. But really the i5 is the top dog.

ah i see, apologies. been throwing a build together and i can get one to run most games on ultra for 650. good deal?

screen is 23 inch 1366x768

do all the instructions from Hardwareversand come in german?

do all the instructions from Hardwareversand come in german?

What instructions? Just to add in, the build there is just components, I'm not sure if you're building it yourself or not. There is an option to have them build it for you if you want. Do you mind putting up the specs of the other build?

Yes I plan on doing it myself. I mean the manuals and stuff with the components if they'll be in English or German.

A few things:

That PSU looks really dangerous and I wouldn't trust it.
That case is really bad, and for the sake of a fiver the Bitfenix one is a better choice.
You've selected an overclockable chip on a motherboard that doesn't support overclocking.
I'm on my phone ATM but that DVD drive doesn't look very food, can it read and write?
The RAM and GPU look solid though.

As for the manuals, they normally have loads of different languages so English will be in all of them. Besides, if you're not sure about something you can just ask us.

No, the manuals have all the main languages

You can't overclock on that board. You need a z68 or z77. If your not going to OC you can drop the CPU to i5 2400.
