My build is at 40 with a stock fan. edit: down to 32 now.
Although it doesn't go an awful lot higher, even under load.
60 is the highest I've ever seen it go, that was after a BF3 session.

Also, whoever it was who asked about the GTA for 3.99 earlier, its actually 4.99$, and the deal is still going on now. Although you'll need to create an american account, with an american address, although an Irish CC works fine.

Build complete! I hope. God damn that CPU fan, I was an absolute nightmare to install/install wires around.

Now I'm terrified I didn't install it properlly/moved it too much/did the thermal paste wrong... CPU temp is idling at around 39*C at BIOS, not sure if that's normal or not. BAH!

On the plus side, quite proud of my cable management, pics incoming :P

That's a great keyboard, apparently it has the same internals as the Filco 87 ... but it's not available in ISO layout! I think CM might have released some of their other keyboards in ISO so there is still hope.

Good to see TKL Reds are becoming popular, even if the Choc Mini was the first :cool:

Alright, that's going to be a bit messy. You'll probably need to reinstall nearly all of those games again to get them working.

Here's how I would do it, although you could probably also do it with migration software.

Step 1a is to back up your windows activation. Unless you've got a lot of windows keys to spare. This saves you from ringing up Microsoft after a reinstall. You can do this with the ABR tool.

Step 1b - Move any essentials to a folder in the root directory of the C-Drive for easy access, e.g., we'll call the folder "to keep files". Back up your browser bookmarks and all kinds of stuff at this stage. Get the stuff from your desktop too.

Step 2 - Disconnect your HDD and attach your SSD

Step 3 - Enable AHCI in BIOS

Step 4 - Install Windows 7

Step 5 - Rettach your HDD and make sure that the boot priority is for the SSD first

Step 6 - Install drivers, essential software and restore your windows activation

At this point you'll have to think about what programs you need on the HDD and which you'll need on the SSD. Your old C-Drive which is now the D or E drive (you can re-assign the letters if you want) has all your old files but a whole lot of useless windows junk now.

If you are sure that you won't be booting to the old OS any more, I suggest you move everything on the d-drive (except your 'to keep files' folder) into a folder called "old c-drive" until you are sure that you have gotten everything you need from it - doing this will make it clear which files are new and which are old. You might find that you have a lot of files scattered around that you need later on. For example, games have a tendency to install saves in my documents even if you don't want them there.

You'll have to reinstall most of your programs as I said before. Any big programs should go on the hard drive. You can set this with custom install and setting d:\program files instead of c:\program files.

The SSD is probably too small for all the games so it's only really worthwhile moving a game to the SSD if you're going to be playing it regularly. Since you only have the one steam game, you don't need the steam mover tool. If you want the steam game on the SSD, you can move the entire steam folder wherever you want and it will fix itself when you run it.

1 hard drive Samsung SpinPoint F3 1000GB, SATA II, just C drive. Only 1 steam game and the others I have the cd (alot of the other games)

So basically a clean install of windows onto the ssd drive, then use steam mover to transfer games from hard drive to ssd, that right?

Ill probably need to install drivers then for the graphics card etc and then once that's done, do i delete the windows and drivers from the hard drive or do they matter now?
