The 1200 high is necessary if you're looking at 3 x 1 portrait, when the height is now the width. Most game on 3 x 1 landscape anyway.

i want landscape, not portrait. so that does not bother me. plus 1080p will be a bit less of stress on gpu

Isn't the G400 optical rather than laser? Still, either way I'm leaning toward the Deathadder.

I guess you missed it, but there was a discussion a few weeks back about how even though laser is newer, optical is still the better tech. There was a link to a thread on some other forum about loads of numbers and charts, but I was too lazy to read it.

I've been using an MX-518 for like 4/5 years without issue.
If today, I were to buy a mouse, it would be the G400. No question.
Do yourself a favour, spend a little money on your mouse.

I also have a great mousemat (Or Gaming-Surface :rolleyes:). A Razer Mantis Speed. It's huge but size matters. I've used this thing as a pillow at lans and could never go back to crappy €5 A5 sized mats.
If I were buying again, something like this would probably be the one.

i wont recomend it. It is very picky with it surfaces and mouse 4/5 buttons are so hard push, you will have muscles like a pro on fingers after few weeks.

its still all right, but for that price look in to something better.

i still remember my best mouse ever i had: microsoft RAZOR mouse. it was epic

. its a shame it died during nerd rage at SC2.

I had an MX 518 for years and years. Using a G9x at the moment, it's nice enough to use, very comfortable.

I use this mouse with this mousepad. Both are excellent. The mouse mat in particular is very cheap, but really good. Miles ahead of anything I've used before.

I use the sidewinder X8
The recharge option failed shortly afterwards but I bought battery recharge pack from a choice store for like €5.
Apart from that I can't fault it,well made and nice options etc

Think my friend has that keyboard, he likes it.

Also remember, G400 > G500 even if it seems the G500 is better because it costs more and has a higher model number.

Judging from what I've learned, I'd maybe go for the G400 and spend the excess on a Sidewinder X6.

It's got a flawless sensor and it's 2/3rds the price. As far as I can remember, the G500 has acceleration (I'll update with a link that has a list of mice with flawless sensors when I can find it again).

EDIT: Although I have to say, scroll wheel on the G500 is very nice.

Seeing as I am not a gamer, flawless sensor probably isn't very important for me.
Although I do want to get a good mouse.

Come to think of it, this mouse is very cheap on amazon, had tons of good reviews and would probably do the job for me.
