Had a excellent few matches in drop zone, I'm so much better at this than Blops seriously I could not hit a barn door but getting 25 to 35 kills a match on a good day

As with all these perk choice discussions it's how you use it, some players mightn't have experimented sufficiently to come to a conclusion and what works on pc mightn't work on a console or vice versa.

Sitrep pro in mw3 has been seriously downgraded compared to it's mw2 iteration; firstly enemy footsteps aren't as prominent in mw3 (mw2 is a louder game in general so explosions/etc can block them out) and the range of seeing enemy equipment is drastically reduced. You could see through buildings with mw2's sitrep whilst mw3 has the range cut massively (down to ~10m) and objects regularly block detection. It was my favourite perk in mw2, killing enemies through soundwhoring was very satisfying. It's value is directly related to quantity of enemy equipment in mw2 where there was loads it was a great perk, in mw3 it's a pale shadow of itself.

I've used Stalker primarily on lmgs and the two work excellently in tandem; increasing your speed and accuracy, the instant you see your target you can hit it, with the potential for a 2 hit kill with the m60 makes it very dangerous at all ranges. I could see benefits of using stalker for smgs but the speed bonus isn't as pronounced as for the lmgs and they suffer in all cases except in short range. I do think the delay on explosives could be critical but with scavenger not replenishing players equipment, there is a lot less exploding stuff to kill you. From my experience with smgs in general being limited apart from close range engagements I'd have thought dead silence would be the best 3rd tier perk.

You make no noise, so if you can hear footsteps and there isn't an ally near you on the minimap so you shoot at it. One of my current fave classes heavily relies on ambushing players; riot shield/silenced mp9/extreme conditioning/blast shield/dead silence/frag/trophy system. Take the objective and then go on the offensive, treating any footsteps you hear as hostile. You're practically immune to bouncing bettys and claymores with blast and riot shields, you'll show up on radar so use it to your advantage, expect and welcome the returning enemies with bullets knowing that you ward off aerial attacks with the trophy system or face off choppers with the riot shield. Use ballistic vests to further enhance your survivability and your teak tough. Let the words of Simon and Garfunkel spring from your lips as your mantra.
The silenced mp9 is a very capable gun with plentiful starting ammo and large clip size, I've killed 3 enemies with a single clip up close and I've outgunned enemies from long range too as it's recoil is very low, if things get too intense, equip the riot shield and hope a team mate comes to the rescue. Swap the riot shield for any gun in non objective games and you'd still be a major thorn in the enemy's side.

Sunday 5am, drunk, playing S&D solo, losing 1-3 and getting verbally abused by an Irish clan.
I have NEVER wanted to win a game more.
Team got it back to 2-3. Next 2 rounds went 4-0, planted successfully twice and got the game ending kill.
Course then I proceeded to act the cnut myself. This game really brings out the worst in people

Used to play search all the time on Blops but for some reason very little on MW3. Mostly TDM now.
I generally play s&d when hammered as I find it slower paced. I do have some shockers though and not uncommon for me to go 0-7 in a game. The guys I play with though are more into TDM right now.
The clan was u=xp...... which is why they singled me out as it's what our clan uses. I usually mute everyone when playing alone so don't normally engage in slagging.

Striker and it competes with the FM9 users up close (provided you sneak up behind them) :rolleyes:
Mate has all the shotguns gold I think and he really likes the AA12 but you need to add proficiencies with it.
Think damage is a better option on the SGs than range
I was using the spas a lot last prestige and doing ok but now can't buy a kill with it.
Stay clear of the KSG unless you truely hate yourself.

Prefer to challenge myself when playing, these days it's pistol only so must try this KSG, although I reckon I'm better off with the pistol.

I hate it when it happens... nothing worst that a clan bragging on how good they are... but its funny to listen to their reaction when you win... and even better when you are playing with a team and beat the sh--t out of them...

Best shotgun is the USAS with damage. Nothing can stop you. I normally bring it out when I am facing a team with FMG9 akimbos... love to hear them moan when I kill them. Is one shot one kill at short-medium range, I got 3 kills with one shot the other day.

The only problem is that is useless without damage, otherwise the striker is by far the best shotgun...

The number of players in clans using strikers in close combat maps has increased significantly. The FMGs, given the fact that they are a secondary weapon, are my go to guns for most such maps.

Looking forward to the new maps today

is it jus me or is it alot easier to drop shot in Mw3..

Was on blops yesterday an it felt like it took forever to go down to drop shot, yet on Mw3 it literally has to be one of the easiest things in the game, I never even used to do it, Picked it up while playing Mw3 an its simple as can be.. Its even better listening to people goin crazy on the mic when ya drop shot them, literally running all over the place, drop to the ground and they call ya a camping noob,
