Buying gaming laptop!

I am currently looking for a gaming laptop and I found this.

Depends whats more important, do you want to save money or do you want the most performance for 700 euro?

This asus is only 550 euro. GPU is almost just as good as the 540m but the processor is a good bit weaker. Overall the Acer has about 10%/15% better performance. EDIT: Oh and here is another Asus with the same specs as your Acer but cheaper. I was looking for a laptop that I can get the best performance out of the 700.
although the Asus laptops seem great.

In that case you won't do much better than that Asus. Next step up in terms of GPU anyway is usually the GT555m and your talking around 900 for that.

The Acer has a 8GB Ram & the Asus has 4GB.
The Acer has a 750GB hard drive, the Asus 640GB.
does this make a big difference?

For gaming, these will make no difference at all!

4GB is plenty of RAM for any programs atm 8GB is just unneeded unless your doing lot's of HD video encoding.
And 640GB storage spaces is loads, obviously more space is better but your not going to be running short of space with that HDD.
