S'called bacon up north where I was born and rashers in Cork where I've lived since about 12/13 yrs old.

It depends what you mean. Bacon is a cut of meat from a pig & rashers are slices of bacon.

So if you mean the slices that you fry or grill, then it's rashers. Rashers are of course still bacon, but rashers would be the correct name for them.
