A problem collecting any game he is in, nothing as interesting as hating mario.

Got mario ball for gba last week. Mario party 6 and 7 not so long before.
Mario party 3 is coming in post. Looking to get mario world 2, marioworld, mario vs donkey kong, mario 2 on gba and mario party 5 at the moment. Think should have them all soon.
So I have a problem with him is liking him too much.

1. Nichibutsu Arcade Classics [Super Famicom, NTSC-J, CIB]
Wanted this for AGES just for Moon Cresta. Delighted to add it to my SHMUPS collection!

2. Wonder Classic [Wonderswan Color, NTSC-J, BNIB]
Can't beat a golf game on a handheld. Even more so on a 'Swan Crystal.

3. Soul Hackers/Ronde & Flash Demo Disks [Sega Saturn, NTSC-J, CIB]
Why demo disks? I only got it because these lads were on the back.

4. Virtual Boy Tap [Virtual Boy, NTSC-J, BNIB]
...because it'll eat through a mountain of batteries if I didn't have this. Don't have my VB yet though, it's in the post!

5. Neo Geo MVS MV1-FZ [Jap BIOS]
My MVS1-A died, as is well documented on these here forums! So I bought a replacement. Buying a fresh UniBIOS to go with it too. Now to get the stupid thing to love the plasma. :mad:

Same MVS model as myself

The Unibios is very handy indeed and I would recommend it to everyone with an MVS.
So many nice options.

I kept my old unibios but don't want to risk it in the new MVS. Going to get a new one instead. Better safe than sorry after my luck with the MVS!

I have the older bigger one with the joystick ports, means I can use my AES stick, which is nice!

Yeah, I was looking into getting one of those.
But the MV1-FZ takes up a bit less space, so leaves a bit more room inside the candy for other bits.

Is that the MVS1-C? Doesn't that have stereo out too? Downside on that is the soldered BIOS no?

Socketed BIOS was a deal breaker for me due to the UniBIOS. You can piggyback a soldered BIOS though but id prefer to just pop out a socket one. Done in seconds then.

I love a bit of Mario myself. Saying that, I'm more into his spin-offs than I am his core platformers for the most part.

Mario Tennis on the N64 is one of the best Mario games I have ever played. Have you picked that up yet? The graphics still look okay today, but its the gameplay that really shines. Its simple at first but its quite deep and very addictive. It will take most people a while to master it.

In my view Mario Tennis on the 64 is the best tennis game going - even better than the excellent Virtua Tennis series, and thats as big a complement as I can give it!

Have it alrite. Haven't played it though, my n64 is packed up and it's a hassle with disconnecting one and all the leads. Basically I'm not allowed have more than 2 consoles messing up the sitting room at the one time.

Might pack up Snes and give mario tennis a shot. But then can't play Snes and I ain't putting up the Gamecube. Ah decisions!

Scored a couple of console bargains this week. In town this morning to pick up a couple of those boxed ps1's for friends, decided to pop into Rage for a look and ended up getting a boxed Saturn. Earlier model with the bigger box and oval power button and the box is in excellent condition with inserts/plastic bags etc. No controller included but i've got 3 of them from the broken saturn i got off ebay a while back... €36 with the 10% discount on offer today for saying happy birthday to them. I've actually done quite well out of them for consoles...

Also snapped up this NES off adverts during the week after someone dropped the ball and failed to offer-first-ask-questions-later:

Collectors dream right there, the seller said it was bought for her and her brother for christmas one year, they played it a few times and weren't bothered so back in the box it went. Inserts are almost perfect, as is the box and all original manuals included. All original cables and the console is mint, even still has that new console smell (as opposed to the 'damp attic in smokers house' most second hand consoles seem to initially smell like). Dpads on the controllers even still have the rough finish that is worn down on pretty much all the controllers you get. Only thing missing is the plastic bags etc from original packaging. Needless to say, i'm keeping it in the box. Was totally worth the trip to Mullingar, anyway!

Nice work on the nes! That was a steal alright. didnt spot that one, though i have to say im holding off on buying consoles for a while unless they come with games, ive 2 boxed nes already and have bought and sold about 10 in the last year!

How much was the Nes actually worth? I'd assume it's at least €100 in that condition?

Ah it wouldnt be worth 100, id say about 50, thats about what i paid for my two boxed ones, and they came with a few boxed games aswell.

I got that C64 introductory tape with the Night Moves pack I got for Christmas from Tandy many moons ago! It's actually bloody hilarious in parts. The bit where yer man describes hardware and about dropping it on your foot always has me in floods laughing.

I must find an mp3 of it, I'm sure someone must have made one!

EDIT: Wow, that's actually a totally different tape to the one I had. It's like a directors cut or something. Lots of extra narrative in there that wasn't present with the Night Moves version of the tape. Nice!

Few more bits.

New CD32 on the left and my old original CD32 on the right.

The new one has kind of a lip on the back and the old one does now. Also the word "Commodore" is recessed in the plastic on the old one and printed on the new one.
It did come with a (very light weight)European Commodore power supply, works fine with a plug adapter.

Anyone came across different hardware revisions of the CD32 before?

Anyway, I think that's about it except for all the cables, memory cards and what not. Also got about 200 loose Amiga disks in a couple of boxes. Mostly games but some apps and workbench stuff.

I have to collect and pay for another couple of hundred Amiga games and probably 100 C64 games from the same source but thats a job for another weekend me thinks

Grand total paid, 90 Euro for the lot.
I'm happy with that.
