Toddler left for dead in china, up to 30 passerbys ignored child suffering death

Warning, very graphic video of a child being run down by a car.

At about 5:20pm a 2 year 2 month old girl was walking on the street when a white van had hit her and had trapped her beneath the car. The driver did not seem to know what had happened and continued to accelerate further crushing the little girl even more."
"The first guy that walked nearby just ignored the girl on the floor and pretended that nothing happened, subsequently everyone else ignored her too."
"Moments later another driver who also seems to not have seen the girl drives over her, further injuring her. After 5 minutes since she first got hit, everybody that walked past did not give a second glance at the girl and just pretended nothing happened and continued to walk past"
"6 minutes have past since she has been hit, a working garbage women who is good of heart sees the child lying on the floor and knew something was wrong, the garbage woman walked over to lift the child to the side of the road but by then the girl has already lost conscious. The garbage woman then went off to call for help. After the mother heard of the news she ran over to help."
"Not even 3 years old. The girl "Yu Yute" (Don't know how to translate her name but you would hear it in the video) is fighting for her life in the critical ward. She is currently in a coma and doctors are unsure if she will survive, if anyone that was around that area at the time please contact the authorities with any information that could help with the investigation"
"In those 6 or so minutes, 19 people had walked passed and had not giving any attention to Yu Yute. Only 1 garbage woman had the heart to help her. Yu Yute's dad said the second car is already being investigated by the police however the first car's number had too much glare to be identified and is currently investigating other ways to track them down"
"Now the parents only have 2 wishes, one that the girl survives and wakes up. The second to capture the first driver who ran the girl over, nothing else matters right now."
*Father then begs on television for help for anyone with information to come forward.

Tbh i never watch any stuff like that. I thought that because it was a link to a youtube video it would not be too graphic, like a news piece or something, Yeah I know it said very graphic, naivety on my part. I was sorry afterwards I watched, its been stuck in my mind since. Whats seen cannot be unseen and all that. Reinforces me steering clear from these vidoes.

Havnt watched the video and have no desire to do so.There are some things that I dont need ingrained on my retina and things like this would be damn near the top of the list.

China has some of the most shocking treatment of young children,particularly infant females anywhere on the face of the planet.I remember seeing in Bizarre Magazine a number of years ago a picture of a dead baby girl lying in the street.The body was just dumped and remained there for iirc a couple of days.

Heartbreaking,shocking stuff.

He saw a large crowd gathered around a woman but nobody was doing anything - He asked somebody to ring an ambulance then he started doing CPR - he looked up at the guy he asked to ring an ambulance and the guy was using his phone to record what was happening.

The problem is that humans have a sheep mentality and we're not prepared to do anything unless somebody else does first.

To say that all Chinese are inhumane is a little harsh - They're just use to seeing this type of thing just like some of us would ignore a junkie lying on the ground.

While that is also frightening behavior this really isn't the same thing..This toddler is knocked down, the driver stops and sees her under his truck, he then slowly drives over her again knowing exactly what is going to happen-purposefully inflicting more damage and pain-leaving her screaming in agony. A number of people cycle and walk past her pulverized body and the bloody tyre marks-none of them do anything not even a double take when confronted with such a horrific and distressing scene. Another driver approaches in a pick up truck, slows down when he sees an 'obstruction' and then proceeds to roll over both of her feet and drive off-he didn't even try to drive around her little body-that must've been too much of an inconvenience for him...when somebody does try to 'help' her she graps her roughly and drops her-slamming her head into the concrete and wiping out a lot of the good a paramedic could've done for her-this is more than a lack of empathy it's something much worse

Why is this still up on you tube?...as worthy of public concern as it is that sort of medium only contains shock value and creates a forum for very productive but equally callous (to those passers by) mainstream media success. If people are looking for one reason as to how people could walk on by like that then look no further then the desensitization this sort of thing promotes and the instant reaction it may provoke in the title of this thread even , 'the worst news I saw *today*'.

well, it's a lot easier for him/her to say it without having to back it up than it would be to actually do it, but given the things hollywood puts on our screens it wouldn't be impossible to fake it, especially with grainy cctv footage.

that said, its pretty obvious to anyone who's seen it in the news that it is genuine and a horrible thing to have happened. unfortunately though, it's far from an isolated incident (at least globally speaking) it just struck a chord because it was caught on video and people worldwide could actually see it happening.

I used the same photo from Bizarre for an essay on the power of photography in college. I'll try find the photo and put it in the shocking photos thread because it leaves you lost for words. The worse part was the gentleman who took the photos rang the police about the whole thing, and they arrested him! They didn't realise him until he handed over the camera, but he managed to hold onto the film.

This is worse story I have ever hear, Nothing would surprise me anymore about what humans are capable of. I know China is communist country but there is something radically wrong when people see a child suffering, dying on the road, at high risk of suffering more lying on the middle of a road and those people decide not to be behave like humans and decide not do anything to protect and get help for the dying child. If that was their sister, brother, friend, if that was their daughter how would it be beause people are the same, they have loved ones and families they care about too. Some people say the chinese are kind of cold and hard but this is beyond all human understanding. This is the news story about it
