Have two Labradors .One male 10 months old the other female 6 months old .Nice dogs when they are not tearing up my garden plants .
In the past had a few Shetland sheep dogs .Also good temperament .

Have a 10 month old Fox Terrier now, had a Westie up until a few months ago also but the poor fella passed away. The Fox Terrier is a lovely dog though.

Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Fantastic dogs with children especially. Always getting lumped in with American Pit Bulls, totally separate breed really.

A retired greyhound, can't recomend them enough. they have such a bad time and theyre the most placid, gentle dogs you can imagine

Yea great dogs alright. Had one myself and another that was a cross. Very loyal, clever and useful members of the family. I miss them both.

Only issues can be the hip problems and the swivel eyed loony "dog lovers" that go for the extreme pedigree ones with the sloping backs. Walking cripples and fcuk all like the working dog they came from with the proper level back. There are sadly a lot of dog breeds in that category all bent outa shape by fashion and muppets. Crufts and similar are hideous parades of often crippled mutants IMHO.

Sam - he was a three legged fox terrier that would howl/sing along to music. Despite his size (he was quite small) and the fact he had only 1 back leg, he would attempt to hump whatever he could. There was one time he vanished for three days and came back limping worse than usual and we were petrified that he had damaged his only back leg, which would have potentially meant us putting him to sleep, so we brought him to the vet. Vet examines him and notices how tired Sam seems to be. Came to the conclusion that there was a bitch in heat somewhere and he was limping because he had exerted himself far too much.

What a dog.

Cant beat the Terriers,Ive a terrier as well,he fancies his chances with the bitches as well no matter what size they are

I've never had a dog for keeps, the closest I've gotten was a JRT that I picked up in the park one day and brought home. he was wet, dirty, underfed and terrified of people. handed him over to animal welfare two days later.he was a great little companion, even if it was just for two days. the second morning (he slept in my room on a pillow) I woke up, and looked down at him, and he got excited and ran up onto the bed, and snuggled down beside me

Have a German Shepherd and a Golden Lab / German Shepherd cross. The cross is getting on in years but he was always loyal and very clever. He's also a racist.

The Shepherd is as thick as two short planks and would run away from a terrier. And though he looks fierce I wholeheartedly believe that Shepherds get an undeserved bad rep.

When i was much younger we kept Shepherds and they where great dogs..

Ould Scooby dog when I was a wee one, actually I was 18 or 19 when he died, went everywhere with me and my mate until his age caught up with him... his half brother Eugene was also a great dog.

My retired greyhound boy is the sweetest, most gentle dog ever. I love him so much even if he is a lazy lump!!:)
I also had a boxer as a child who was wonderful. He was calm and gentle when he needed to be but was great fun and nuts when it was play time. Always swore I'd get another one but to be honest I don't think I'll ever have anything other than rescue Greyhounds in future. Rescue Greys trump all other breeds!!!!:D
