So youve gotten a hundred Euro discount from FNAC to purchase a tablet from their website

What are people opinions on the best one

(i suppose this thread is more so for the folks who got the 100 Euro discount from the whole Touchpad mess up)

But how and ever it is still Android related.

Thoughts?

Well worth a punt for the 40 Euro I paid for it, for some surfing, emails and what have you.... but next to useless for games... didn't even try out any movies....

I would be furious if I had paid over a hundred for it!!

Try over on the Hannspree thread in bargain alerts, most owners there got that device instead and never used their voucher.

I ordered the Acer Iconia tab a500, Great price at €314 all and all.

The main reason i went for the Acer of the xoom was because they are identical hardware wise except the acer has the 2.0 usb host port built in, Which to me is what all tablets should have.

Thanks to Fnac for the vouchers, Although that was a big mess. Glad i'm getting a real tablet and not the touchpad though.

Looking for a recommendation on what to get myself. Will mainly use for web browsing, music and watching streaming content on tv - mainly liveonlinefooty.com

was gonna get the galaxy 10.1 until I realised it doesn have hdmi out. Next up was ipad but it seems v.expensive to hook up to tv and flash may be a problem for liveonlinefooty.

What's my next option, xoom?

Has anyone had a problem with their voucher order with FNAC?

I ordered the Arnova 8 (Primarily because it was cheap

) but my order is sitting there with a status of:

Deadline: expected information provider

What is the best e-mail address to get help on this?

I've tried the form on the website and also sent a mail to the fnacouer one but no response.

If I was paying full price for this I would have cancelled (Order made on the 9th of Sept) and told them to stuff it, particularly after reading some of the Arnova reviews.

Has anyone sucessfully used someone elses voucher on FNAC? Im trying to use a voucher that was given to me but im getting an error so guessing they might be tied to a specific account?

The person who gave me the code has handed over their account to me. I obviously added my own email, address etc. I am still getting a message saying the code is not recognized (have tried on galaxy 10.1, xoom etc). The original owner of the account tested it before handing it over and it worked for them. Any ideas ? Could it be linked to email rather than account?

My code works for me ****without even being logged in*** on the xoom. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx is code format. Going to double check now in new browser, yes conclusive. Works for the 399 xoom without being logged in or ever have been logged in in that browser.

Weird. Tried it there without being logged in and I still get the not recognized message.

Format is same as yours. Is your last 4 digits letters rather than numbers?

all 3 parts have both numbers and letters, all upper case.

Using his FNAC voucher on my account

Logging into his account and trying the voucher

Adding his email to my account and trying the voucher

Using a new account with his email and trying the voucher

None have worked, but everytime he tries to use it it works. Really fecking weird.

since I can prove its not related to the account he has somehow given you the wrong code or there is a space or something in your field. ensure you delete the french text and try a different browser

u can send me the code to test if u like, also you can have first dabs on mine if u like , almost certain not to use mine if the archos is delayed. wont decide till nearer end oct though.

I wish the touchpad had never existed lol

witchcraft, ok try new browser and don't login. ensure ctrl-a on coupon field to ensure no spaces.

Did you "borrow their account" or did it work on yours?

I have a code that I don't think I will use but I would prefer to give it to a more long standing boardie who was looking for the touchpad from the start.

The other thread is closed to I can't post there.

In the end I borrowed their account and used it there - but I think it should work on any account.

there seems to be additional tablets added to the voucher list. Im considered the updated archos 101 G9 , 299 ,and can use the 100 voucher , although im sure there is going to be plenty of 200euro tablets around come christmas
