Growing apple trees

I have two apple trees. A golden delicious and a James grieve. The Golden delicious grows apples fine. But i have issues with the James Grieve. They dont grow as big and are not as in good condition.
The leaves are brownish this has repeated itself for the past two years..
Does anybody have any ideas... please...
