Yes its the predictable friday night "drink" thread :eek:

After a few drinks with the girls tonight during a birthday dinner the conversation went to "the kind of drunk we are". We each said what the others only did when drunk.

example- a friend of mine sings every song that comes on when shes a few drinks even though she sounds awful so shes a singing drunk (shes knows she does anyway we didnt bombard her lol)

another friend never shuts the hell up about her kids - (the i love my kids drunk?)

another calls her boyfriend and starts the soppy love crap ( the "oh shut the **** up" drunk)

I discovered (and kinda knew from my phone after a drunk night) that im the "i love this song, im putting it on my ipod" drunk. every 2nd song i say the previous line and type the name of it into my phone :P

It seems to me that it depends in part on what I'm drinking. If I drink vodka I often feel more like an angry ranty drunk, but with wine I'm more mellow and happy. With whisky or beer I get dancey and friendly.

I'm an emotional drunk - I get upset about crap I normally wouldnt if I was sober, or can get quite narky. I rarely get drunk anymore and if I do its usually accidental. I have happily been the designated driver, my only complaint is that the selection for a non-drinker in a pub is terrible.

Cant drink now because I'm pregnant.

I would love to be more like others in my family - We have a singing drunk (who is actually rather excellent at singing so its ok) a sleepy drunk, who just goes off to bed, and a happy drunk who tells everyone how great they are and how much she loves them.

I think he meant it as a compliment.

Clarification: the use of the word "drunk" means "on those occasions when you get drunk", not "you are constantly drunk". (That's my story and I'm sticking to it...)

Definitely a sign that you're not drunk enough. If you were, they'd be making perfect sense.

A few years a go my wife and I attended her work Christmas party. She was pregnant with our first child and I was on the dry to show solidarity. Result: the most boring bloody night out of our lives. Not because we were sober, because because everyone else was p155ed. And talking utter b0ll0ck5. And when you're sober, you have no patience for it.

We ended up beating a hasty retreat to our room and watching a late movie in bed. So at least we salvaged something from the evening...
