Dogs are too much work. And they're too energetic and needy. Cats will do their own thing, and will love you in a less co-dependent manner. (Although all pets are co-dependent, but you know what I mean) Cats can look after themselves, and tidy up after themselves, and their brains are closer to ours than dogs brains are.
