Something tells me that nothing will get done to the N24 for many years to come, but the biggest single proposal for this route involves a 28km realignment that would bypass Pallasgreen, Oola, Monard, Tipperary Town and Bansha.
South Tipperary TDs raised the matter with the Transport minister recently.
From Tipp FM news:
The necessity of a bypass for Tipperary Town has been raised by local TD Tom Hayes and Councillor Michael Fitzgerald with the Minister for Transport.
The Fine Gael politicians took the opportunity of the recent opening of the new stretch of motorway between Cashel and Cullahill to raise the issue with Minister Noel Dempsey.
Deputy Hayes says that at present , Tipperary town is being clogged up with traffic from many important routes.
He stressed that the bypass desperately needs to be prioritised by the Minister and the National Roads Authority.
