HP Touchpad Thread (NO Discussion Of Personal Buying/Selling)

Just a heads up to people.

I'm in NY for the summer and I've just ordered 2 of these for $220.
HP have discontinued the Touchpad this week and are now letting them go for $99 (16GB) and $149 (32GB).

I know most of you aren't in the USA but treat this as a heads up to get a very good tablet, with Flash Player, at a knock-down price.

It looks like the end of this round alright but i wouldnt be too upset, the market will respond to this demand and soon. Keep an eye on every angle, this could be the begininng of a shift by the rest of the tablet players, it has happened before for even larger margin.

So rang Argos Tallaght again re my reserve which is valid from the morning

Girl said stock must have being there for it to be reserved , yet there was no stock for the people that showed up to collect reservations valid from today

I asked him about mine which is valid from the morning and she said that she doubts if stock will come in tommorrow but the reservation was all still active on the system

I said this reservation was on stock in another store which was requested for collection in tallaght ... silence followed by muffled conversation to manager in background .......followed by .....Well come in in the morning to see if it comes into stock ! .......

So what if he's only 17, all that matters is if he can actually do what he says he can. I don't particularly want him to contribute to the demise of WebOS but if he and others like him could create a WebOS/Android dualboot option, THAT would be AWESOME!

No real idea if that'd be at all possible though...

If it comes out that that's what happened I will NEVER spend a cent in Argos again and make sure as many possible Boards members know about it to do the same.Hope someone from Argos HQ Ireland will be reading this thread

You won't spend another cent in Argos......until the next "bargain" comes along.
Can't blame Argos for all the hype, they are 10 times better than most of the internet companies around.
If they can get them for reservations, they would.
