dvpower wrote: » That isn't my plan. They're out of stock do I'm on pre order. I reckon there must be loads of these in the supply chain since the announcement is very recent. I dont intend to pay full price.

EI_Flyboy wrote: » Yeah, have you still got your paddle...? They invited you to treat, you offered to pay at face value, if they accepted it sounds like a contract to me. If you haven't paid yet and it's only in your basket, you're ok. Otherwise I hope they're feeling more amenable towards you than they were towards me! "UK-Info information@expansys.com to me show details 22 Aug (1 day ago) Dear Sir, I am sorry to say that there will be no price adjustments on this unit. Kind Regards Ketsia" In saying that, it'd be very poor show on their part to hammer you for full price when the rest of the world is having a firesale. Very bad customer relations. Let us know how it goes!
Right now, the best bet is to consider that HP had not shipped large quantities to distribution, but now the things are off loading like hot cakes, anything left in the warehouse will be pushed to the distribution channels next week. There will be more coming, although they won't make any more. All we are seeing today is what was already in the distribution channel. Do not panic.

There is going to be a second wave today or tomorrow, but it will nearly all be through HP Home and office store or HP Academy. None of the retailers here are going to get any more stock. It may be different in Ireland, but i doubt it. Whoever is the main distributor for HP in ireland will be the best bet over the next couple of days.
