HP Touchpad Thread (NO Discussion Of Personal Buying/Selling)

Just a heads up to people.

I'm in NY for the summer and I've just ordered 2 of these for $220.
HP have discontinued the Touchpad this week and are now letting them go for $99 (16GB) and $149 (32GB).

I know most of you aren't in the USA but treat this as a heads up to get a very good tablet, with Flash Player, at a knock-down price.

Staff have been directed that they cannot take them, by order of HP directly.

I know, im not complaining about that. I've done it myself before for items when I worked in gamestop. What really annoys me is people working together to buy multiple ones, then selling at a profit, but I suppose you cant stop that.

Do I trust HN?? I phoned this morning and reserved one.

Whoever reserved one, did they manage to pick one up?

I'm gonna race out to carrickmines after work. I've a bad feeling, the one I reserved won't be there.

they may just let them expire or ignore them altogether. Selling on a first come first served basis allows them to get people into the shop & also genertates a buzz that may lead to knock on sales (accessories etc...)
