HP Touchpad Thread (NO Discussion Of Personal Buying/Selling)

Just a heads up to people.

I'm in NY for the summer and I've just ordered 2 of these for $220.
HP have discontinued the Touchpad this week and are now letting them go for $99 (16GB) and $149 (32GB).

I know most of you aren't in the USA but treat this as a heads up to get a very good tablet, with Flash Player, at a knock-down price.

Download the 3.0.2 software update (Settings-> System Updates-> download), will sort a lot of the software jitters.

Does anyone expect Argos to price drop to a similar price as Currys/HN? I've got a reservation on a 32GB up there. if I get one on Currys tomorrow someone else can have the reservation (Sligo).

Id say they will sell them at 100, HP are going to have them the cost per unit anyhow, might as well get them out of the stores at some return. Rather than paying shipping, storage etc.....

The reservation I have Thursday August 25th to Tuesday August 30th 2011.

Cant see them lasting all that long if they drop the price before Thursday...

Reservations will be fine, right? I wonder if there is any risk of them ignoring reservations at full price and selling them first come, first served?
