Microsoft don't make it easy to create alt accounts for various reasons. It is possible, but I'm pretty certain they blocked off my Japanese account a few years ago (translating the emails they sent me had some worryingly harsh language in them :pac:). And then the region locking. Ugh. They released Death Smiles IIX on the American XBL. You'd think digital distribution would remove the regional barriers, but alas it is unplayable on anything other than American consoles that are in America.

Just been thinking why dont we have a Retro Reviews subforum for all the old 8/16 bit games

Once i Figure out how to properly do sound over the recording ill chip in with a few classics

T.b.h theres only afew people doing them , so its probably too much hassle for a subforum... a (stickied) thread dedicated to just retro reviews might be ok though.

As for audio on reviews...
two quick and dirty ways to get commentaries up :
1/ buy headset mike (if you're stuck the two euro shop do one for...€2).use audacity( free sound recorder) to record audio stream.Play game. Use MS movie maker* (yeah its free but it works) to add audio stream to video.publish .upload.done.
Easier (cheating method), get headset,play game , record avi of playing game.Add to movie maker .Go to timeline mode.go to tools , record narration.talk about game.go to tools , audio level, and adjust if you like .publish.upload .done.

The narration method is a bit handier as you dont need to think about playing the game and try and say something interesting/coherent at the same time.

(*..and fight the urge to use "star wipe" transitions between each scene)

Absolute PSP love in going on today, playing the living shít out of the poor old portable console.

I'm seriously considering skipping the 3ds and waiting for a vita

The ps exclusive games are awesome but the price is the only thing that would make me wanna get a 3ds instead

I had a 3DS for about 2 weeks form launch and ended up regretting it. Was pretty lucky as the store I bought it from was buying them back for £10 less than I paid new! I cashed in quick as it was only a few weeks later and they'd dropped the price by a further £40.

The only game I really want for the 3DS now is Zelda but I'm more than happy to wait a few months or until next Summer by which time there should have be a load of decent releases.

Well the Vita is gonna be around €250, I can live with that price providing there's actually some games to play on it.
If you're short on cash buy the 3DS since it's properly priced now, alas the games available for the 3DS suck monkey balls big time but there's some glimmer of hopes on the horizon with MarioLand 3D and MarioKart 7.
