Right, so theres a few threads lying around now asking for predictions, so i thought it would be a good idea to put them all in one place.
So if your teacher has made an educated guess, or even if your uncle's nephew's second cousin's son in law told you someting, let us know here! :pac:

HISTORY:
Cold war has never not come up two years in a row in Q6, and it wasnt asked last year. Very likely to appear.

Feel free to add your own!

ENGLISH:
My English teacher thinks a question on theme will come up in the studied play, and he is rarely wrong!

GEOGRAPHY:
My teacher reckons a question on climate will come up in section B.

History:
Cold War comes up pretty much every year, be it as part as 6D or People In History. It was People In History last year.
Q5 - very likely to be The Industrial Revolution, wouldn't rule out Revolutions or Reformation, but it's been a long time since the Industrial Revolution came up.

Geography:
Soils haven't come up in a while, I think carbonation is due to come up. Apparently it would be wise to study types of rainfall. My teacher predicted volcanoes and the advantages and disadvantages of dams. Population comes up pretty much every year as a long question in some shape or form. I think it's been a while since Climate came up.

Maths:
Circle theorem i.e. the angle at the centre of a circle is twice the size of the angle at the circumference, is predicted. Know constructions, they didn't come up last year.

lol Man United lad, the reason you're English teacher "thinks" a studied play will come up is because it's compulsory on paper II to answer questions on a studied play!

Here are some ideas for English and History:

History - I thought Q5 may have something on Irish History, seeing as the plantations or Famine usually comes after a year that had Age of Exploration (as did 2010's Q5). The definite ones for Q4 is (I)20th Century Relations Internationally, I think (II) 20th Century Ireland and definitely (III)Ireland Independence struggles from 1901-1950

For the "People in History" section, the topic "An Irish Monk Living in A Monastery" has come up in 2 year intervals since 2002 or 2003, so that means theres a good chance it'll appear this year, seeing as it wasn't in 2010, but in 09',07',05' ....

English - For Paper II, the studied play and novel sections will definitely, definitely will have something on relationships, so I'd have some quotes ready relating to the theme of relationship with 2 characters.

I think:
History:Q4, knight maybe? Medieval seems to come up a lot and lord/lady came up last year. Or monastery? Renaissance artist from Italy hasn't come up in a while I think, so maybe that too? Who knows really but speculating is fun:D

Ps: Any predictions for anything would be appreciated, because my teachers made no predictions!

I'm absolutely screwed for maths... and science, and possibly history. My geography teacher thinks that features of river/coastal deposition and erosion are gonna come up.

Anyone have any idea what the likelihood of theorem 9 coming up? i.e. If two triangles are equiangular, then their sides are in proportion? As I can't make head or tail of it.

Well, it's less likely than the circle theorem, but if that doesn't come up, then it probably will be theorem nine as Pythagoras' theorem came up last year.

Well with geography volcanoes have been asked for the last 2 years... You really think they are going to ask it 3 years in a row?

I think he meant to say Question 6 for that question, as Irish History, Social Change, and International Relations come up pretty much every year.

Business:

Teacher suggested that the General Ledger and Trial Balance question on Paper 2 would include calculating Ordinary Share Capital and the General Journal(possibly some bad debts).

The last two years of questions have been Purchases/Sales books and Purchases/Sales returns books so it's highly likely that this year they'll switch it around.

For project maths students look at the sample paper on examinations.ie as the SEC have said it will be very close to the real thing! Also my teacher (mr. Derek Mulvany,one of the authors of project maths) said learn the proofs as they will be probably be used to show that project maths hasn't gone soft
