So you're going up north to the pub on the ONE day of the year (excluding Christmas obviously) the pubs are closed?

There will be the usual places to get a drink if you're gagging for a drink on Friday, CG. Hotel residents bars, trains, theatres and private clubs. There are sometimes places that do events where they open at midnight although I haven't heard of any this year. All a bit sad really.

Well I usually go to Beleek for the garden centre So, yeah it is a change to head there for the pub!

I'm far from religious. I don't agree with the pubs being closed. That said, I'll survive for one day.

It's curious how while drink drug dealers are forced to close on Good Friday the religious drug dealers, which make a fortune in their collections on the day, are allowed to remain open. These are the same groups who have been, mind you, so opposed to other businesses opening on a Sunday (when they are also raking in the money).
