Anyone in the know would relise straight away that this kind of incident is not enough to bring a 737 down.... a 3 foot hole, and even if some debris hit the right hand engine (which is impossible as it happened aft of the engines) or even hit some skin on the tail, there is not enough debris to rupture hydraulics... this flight would've been some fun I think

Worst that can happen, and did, cabin depressurisation...

they were similiar maybe 10 years ago but if southwest were flying in europe they would be considered a premium airline, firstly they give out free snacks and free drinks on all flights, second bags fly free, third passengers board the plane by section number on ticket and they are extremely strict on this as i have seen people turned back if there section and number isnt right (seats are free though) and fourth if bags are sent to the wrong place (as happened to my brothers bag in vegas got tagged to denver instead of phoenix) they will have that bag back in your hotel room within 24hrs

i always look at southwest first before the others, great airline

So many steps further that they are now entirely different business models. The similarities are an all-737 fleet, fast turnarounds, and buying tickets from their company website only. That's about where they stop.

SW is an extremely customer-oriented airline, I would say the most customer-oriented of any of the American carriers. What it lacks in 'frills' like in flight entertainment it more than makes up for in convenience. I pay my $90, and I know that's what I'll have spent, even if I miss my flight (or show up early) and have to rebook, or decide to check two bags at the last minute instead of none at all.
