Inspired by the "can you be friends with an ex" thread. Didnt want to hijack that thread. So created this.

I guess this thread is about fully moving on. We all know it depends on several factors, how much you were invested in them, were you hurt etc etc.

So the ultimate question is... is there an ex you think about?

i'm curious now about whether anyone who isn't over one of their exes is in a new serious relationship, and if so, whether they've told their new partner that they're still not over one of their exes, still thinking of them while fapping, etc.

There's one I kind of miss and feel bad when I think of her because I wasn't that nice to her, but I don't jerk off while thinking of her. Yes my current partner knows that I have issues with it but I don't harp on about it! It's not that unusual.

A couple of months ago i would of said no but i randomly bumped into one a while ago and she looks phenomenal now, proper Grade A Pussy. I currently have an ingenious plan to post a letter to her house with my name on it with a brochure of a hotel we visited when we were together. If she does not open it herself, she will contact me for a rendezvous for a handover. During the handover i shall open this letter and we can reminisce about how i left her like a rag doll that weekend. Thinking about them sometimes doesn't mean you want to be with them more than your partner. You end up in new, better relationships; you don't get your memory erased.

A Scottish guy living in London. He's been the only one that made me look back and think what if. He had a business over there, so him coming over here was a lot more difficult, whereas I was only doing a little office job at the job at the time. He wanted me to come over and live with him, but I was too scared to make the move. I know he cared about me a lot, but time passed and I moved on. He kept emailing me all the while, and still does from time to time. He told me Im his 'the one that got away'.

Over him, yes. But memorable.

that is quite true, my current partner knows all about my relationship problems past, i was totally honest about it with him and he read all about problems i caused in black and white himself.

i left him make his mind up about whether he wanted to be with me as at the time i was mentally ill, he choose to continue dating and i am so glad he did, he's my rock, i have never met any man who was so patient and understanding and kind, i have never had a man love me as much as he does, and i intend on doing right by him, being responsible mature and above all, staying sane!

yes probably so, as it contrasts with the thead title ("Are you fully over a specfic ex?"), and as there's probably very few people who never think about any of their exes, ever.

Absolutely.

She was the first girl I was ever really serious about. Even though its been 5 years I still do think about her, partly because she was the one who ended it and because I was never brave enough to find out the real reason why. Haven't even seen her once since the breakup.

If I were to see her again now I think it would hit me really hard - suppose its never a good idea to leave things unresolved....

I am in a serious relationship at the moment - is it fair to be not over an ex while going out with someone else?

No I don't think about them at all. But I ended it with most of them so maybe that has something to do with it.

Now & then I bump into one or two of them & thank my lucky stars that I saw sense & got rid of them.

I still think about a particular ex, the one guy who broke my heart but I wouldn't get back with him even if he begged me (highly unlikely). We weren't right then and we wouldn't be right now (I don't think)...it took some time to realise that. I had him up on a pedastal too long. Funny how enough time passes and you eventually come to that realisation...or not as the case with a few of you here.

He was Ireland's biggest ride though...I miss him more for aesthetical reasons than anything else.

Do I still think about them from time to time? Yes, bit difficult not to considering he moved near me and is engaged to my cousin popping out kids!

These days I don't get involved in new relationships until I'm fully over an ex.
At the moment I'm just enjoying the single scene

I don't usually think about them unless I see something on tv or pass something that reminds me of them that's all really.

Definitely over them as in I hate them and never want to lay eyes on them again but I can't not think about them as they continue to affect my life in a bad way and the annoyance of running into them every so often living in the same city.
