sorry i dont know where best to place this but im looking for advice me and my wife have had a life changing situation with people we were best friends with for a long long time .is there any way tou can change god parents?

Just tell the kid they are someone else.

It's not a legally binding thing. It means nothing. I am sure they know you don't like them anymore so it kind of goes without saying.

Ask some else you like instead. Have them over for dinner and a bottle of wine, etc.

Go and talk to the priest(s) who christenend your children and I think you may be able to change it.

Forgive me, but isn't the whole God Parent thingy symbolic?. It's not like you've signed your kids over to them in the event of your death. Besides you can always make a will if you are in any way concerned. Like alwaysadub, I haven't the foggiest who my God Parents are, nor do I care.

Ask the priest who Christened your child. I don't see any reason why they couldn't be changed if it means that much to you.

Not on the coffin or anything, but somewhere discreet, like in a confession box.

But besides that, there's no other moral obligation.

I don't have any advice to give on this, bar choosing them carefully. My godmother lives in the UK and has done since before I was born. I met her a few days ago because my grandmother is sick, and she'd know idea who the fúck I was. My godfather is into his cars and races. Daddy's choice on the godfather front, fúcking rawks.

Okay, lets be straight - I know why you have posted in After Hours, you want my help. Yet, the thing is, I can't remember the last time you invited me to your regular forum, but let's be frank, you never wanted my friendship.
