The "What's That Song" Thread [ PLEASE READ ]

Due to a overwhelming litter of Song ID threads cluttering the forum.. from August 13th 2006, the forum now has a new policy on this.

Everything related to a song ID HAS to be posted in this thread and this thread only.

Any "what's that song" type posts made outside of this thread will be deleted without hesitation.

And also would like to avoid any real discussion in the thread besides requests for a song ID, identification of a song and acknowledge / thanks for the ID. Not really a strict policy on this but if i see a discussion going on for 10 posts about how great a particular song is or something to that effect, i will delete it due to simply cluttering up the thread.

Hey folks, hoping someone can save my own, and a few work colleagues, sanity.

Trying to remember the name and artist from a poppy dance song from the late 90's (thinking around 98). Was sang by a black guy in another language (sounded like an african one), quite high nasal voice. Was all over the radio for a good while, big summer hit around that time. The video was largely just him with his arms out in lots of sunny happy places (like green fields etc), generally basking in the warm happiness. Was a very catchy, upbeat song.

I've been looking through the top 100 dance tracks for the years around then, but not spotting it unfortunately, and google searches aren't providing me with anything either.

Help!

But on FX, theirs an advert for a program called "The Listener". The song thats playing with it is what Im after! Cant find anything on youtube

I saw an ad for it the other day and there was some sort of dub steppy remix of Rabbit Heart by Florence and The Machine on it. Don't know if that's the one you're looking for.

OK on the BBC they're advertising the Formula One starting and it shows the date 27.03.11 on a grey backdrop.

Anywho it starts with a bassline on its own and eventually a guitar builds itself up. I've definitely heard it before and I'm 100% sure that RTE have used it to advertise motorsport as well, any ideas?

Sounds like "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac - BBC have been using that with their Formula 1 coverage for a long time
