The 1.4 was twincam, so presume the 1.6 was. Whether the SR is a sport engine or just a bigger brother to the 1.4 I dunno. The 1.4 was grand in them actually, mainly cos they were made out of biscuit tin.

That bonnet is a GTiR bonnet, and not a standard bonnet for a 1.6 Nasp engine.

The bonnet looks genuine alright - the rear spoiler isn't (I've both for sale at the moment).

SR is a nippy step up from the 1.4, but there were still 1.8's and 2.0's.

By comparison you could get a genuine GTI for €1950 ...

Long story short, this car popped up on DoneDeal about 5 days ago with an asking price of €400. 4 days later its re-advertised, again on DoneDeal, different name, photos & contact details ... for €1100 :rolleyes:

I mean seriously - if anyone was actually looking for an Almera, does the guy who now has it really think they won't be watching daily and see what he's doing? Could have at least left it a week or two before trying to make a quick buck. Though I suppose tis still cheap enough so will probably still sell

For a car that's supposed to be "as new in every way" those tacky aftermarket wheeltrims are absolutely horrible !

For that price I'd expect a set of genuine wheeltrims (and a 02/03 E-class thrown in) !
