Hi,
looking for a good dogtrainer in sligo.
the only one I found so far is one2one dogs but I would prefer some classes with other dogs around instead of one to one classes.

Very good one in Grange. Think its called Cherrywood kennels. Can find out for as my sister got a very frightened rescue dog completely transformed there.

was just looking at their website. they only do one to one training and residential training where they keep the dog for 2weeks.
I'm looking more for some type of group training where you go once a week and there are other dogs around

There used to be lessons in the Loftus Hall in Ballymote, think they were at the weekend but have not seen them recently

i knew about one 2 one already but its a bit far away for a 30min session.

seen the other post too. was told by someone else about the markree castle one but nobody can give me a name or nr for them

It was a Finnish girl called Pam that did the Markree castle ones, i dont think shes doing them anymore though. I know her boyfriend so will try to find out for you.

was at the vet yesterday and they only knew about the cherrytree in grange.
was also told about an ex garda from strandhill before but have no info either.

what if ya rang the person who does one on one and ask would they take a group? and if ya say you could have so many people.

there was a place advertised in Manorhamilton in September but haven't seen a place since. Are you looking for doggy pals for your one to play with? Or does it just need more socialisation?

its more about training in company of other dogs.he has a few play buddies in the estate but pickes up all the bad habits :rolleyes:
he is a 10month old jack russel and is pretty good but gets easily distracted and has a stuborn mind of his own

he loves new challenges and loves to be praised so I think he would really enjoy it

I brought my mutt to Chris in One2one, and would definitely recommend her to anybody (and their dogs). It's a fair old drive to Banada alright, but it was worth it, to get a good handle on the situation.

Does anyone know if there are play-dates for dogs around Sligo? I'm in Skreen and have a Lab/Boxer called Omar who loves canine company. I want to get a second dog but my girlfriend is dead set against it. That said, she was dead set against any dog in the first place, but now she is crazy about Omar!

I don't think there are play dates for dogs in sligo, maybe it's time to set them up? i have 5 dogs, there is a lot of playing going on amongst the, but maybe we should think of setting up a dog club for just walking together? So owners with 'only' one dog (almost wrote dogs with only 'one' owner

) can get their social life and the fun dogs do love in their life?
