Land Rover Discovery III hitch

I have a 2006 Land Rover Discovery III. It has standard suspension - not the air suspension which I heard that can give trouble.

It has the standard what I would call "Swan Neck" detachable type hitch.

It is however way to low for any trailers. I have to stand on the drawbar of the trailer and even at that it is difficult to get it attached.

I have seen several aftermarket adjustable hitches for sale from companies in England but they are very expensive, mostly around £300.

Does anybody know where I could get an adjustable hitch for it that wouldn't cost as much. If anybody has one on their jeep I would be willing to do a part exchange with my one for it.

Should have got the air suspension, it is reliable and makes coupling trailers easier! The swan neck is probably more suited to caravans though.

I am looking for probably a second hand one that wouldn't cost as much. Saw two for sale on www.ebay.co.uk but they were unable to give a price for postage to Ireland and anyway they nearly made new prices!

It would be great if I could come across a second hand one for sale or someone that would be willing to sell me their one of their jeep or do a part exchange with me for my swan neck type.

Also as regards the swan neck hitch that's on my Discovery - I don't have the key for it, never got it when I bought the jeep.

Does anyone know where I can get the key for it without having to go to much expence and going to the main dealer.
Someone told me that I mite be able to drop down the whole unit from above usins an alan key but not sure???

Replacement key and barrells aren't that dear apparently and come with instructions. Long discussion on the D3 forum but how to remove the whole towbar isn't shown as there was a spate of them being stolen so it can't be that hard. If you're still stuck, pm me and I'll see what I can find on my RAVE cds.
