I work as an IT Technician Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 voluntary...........no pay.

In fact, the only other IT tech has gone on holidays so I'm the only administrator covering the schools and centres linked to us :pac:

Bit scary being put in charge of the entire system and network at first but I love this kind of work, I'm in my element.

So, yes, I like my job..............would love it if I was being paid.

Still wish I was presenting Top Gear, though.....

Yeah i love it. It's flexible, i work from home or anywhere once i've a lap top and internet, get to travel, i'm well paid and my wages come from Belgium so it's safe from the shíte that Ireland is in. My work also leads towards the removal of child porn from the net. So rewarding in that respect too.

I guess that makes me a full time parent for now. That is actually the best job ever, just wish I got a salary of above 50k, a modicum of intellectual stimulation beyond Peppa Pig and a fat pension at the end of it.

The job is nothing to write home about, i like most of the people though, so it's not a chore or anything.

I hate my job. I work with what are essentially, a load of spoiled, snobby guys and dolls from the south side of Dublin who are all the living embodiment of Ross O'Carroll Kelly.

My first day on the job they were all friendly, but as soon as the found out I live on the northside and go to college on the northside, their attitude totally changed. Now anyone I got along with on my first day just ignores me and no matter how I try to have a conversation with anyone, they just act as if they are better than me. Basically, roysh, if you don't already own a cor or sound loike you focking bath in Jean Paul Gaultier, you are just ignored.

The only people I get along with are the guys who do security in the place, and the bar staff. Totally sound and funny blokes.

The pay is good, but that can only get you so far..... FML

What a bunch of cunts. I'd try and take the piss out of them as much as possible. At least there are the security/bar staff though.

Meh for me, only ever wanted to be a 2nd hand car salesman to be honest. Parents were hard working folk who wanted me and the sister to go to college bla bla bla. Did Physics in college and have been working in various engineering jobs since. It's a good living and not too bad. I have no doubt if I went selling cars I would always have wondered should I have gone to college. A nice gravelly yard full of ole yokes for sale and a portocabin still appeals to me though, maybe some day

No, I don't like my job. The main problem is simply that I've been working in the industry (hospitality) for far too long and need a change. Only so many obnoxious piss-heads, useless management, lazy co-workers and rude tourists one can take before they lose the plot. I have a new job in the pipeline though

Irish Company around a long time.
Decent boss.
Nice people, we clash sometimes but its forgotten about the next day.
Money is okay, not really bothered about it anyway, being happy in a job is more important.

There are elements I dont like but compared to my last job its heaven.

i work one or two nights a week behind a bar in a country pub and i hate it.
even when its quite its so boring and time goes so slow. its actually better when your rushed off your feet on a busy night because time flies (3 times a year)

I'm a qualified plumber and this is what i'm doing. I loved plumbing and cant wait for the industry to pick up again.

But I am lucky I have a full time job so at least it's something

I like my job. I teach English in Korea.

This is actually my 2nd time working with the same school. I originally came out here in feb 2007 then extended my contract to july 2008 and came back home to do my masters. Came back out again last february. If I didn't like it I never would have come back.

The pay is pretty good, they pay for my apartment and they paid my flight from ireland to here and will pay it to go back home again. My co workers are all pretty nice, my boss is great and I only have to work about 20 hours a week.

By the time I have finished my one year contract and travlled around south east asia for a while I will still have a good chunk of money saved in the bank allowing me to go home and try and find work in Ireland or England and not be worried about my finances.
