I think that in this instance it was very inappropriate. In fact it was awful.
However if it were pop stars or models or about something happy, I wouldnt mind, it would be quite handy.

They annoy the hell out of me, they pop up and block what I'm trying to read. The clothes are usually way too expensive anyway.

Yes I agree, very annoying. They actually discourage me from buying as they are inappropiate and not what I am using the web for at the time of reading an article. A bit too commanding!
