Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but just looking for some info on the Clubs and Societies in NUIM.

If you want to join one, do you need to have all the equipment and stuff? I only ask cause I fancy giving the Archery a go, as I have done it before and though it was great, and also trying out the fencing, and anything else that looks interesting.

Also, does anyone know if there is an Airsoft club? (It's like paintball, except with pellet guns)

So, what did everyone else join?

I got a bit over enthusiatis with my €2 coins and joined the Archery, Fencing, Airsoft, Poker, Playdough, Trad music and Tea appreciation

I ended up joining Tea, Film, Media, Playdo, Rovers & Electronic Music
along with sitting at the music soc table for most of the day.
Think I've had enough of socs for today.

Hope I can manage them all!

i joined international society but i couldn't sign up for law/debating and parkouring.

can i still join them.

Did forget to ask where the Archery is held, though! :rolleyes:

Is the Go Karting club gone then?

I looked for it twice today but nothing. There was a sign saying "Go Kart Racing" in the morning which led me to believe they'd be there later but when I came back they were gone and the sign was gone. It's a pity, I was really looking forward to it and it was the only reason i went to the clubs thing.

Everyone needs to join Law soc! Twill be epic this year!

archery is on thursdays 3:30-6 in the large sports hall I think, thats what the timetable for the gym says

Not always, a lot of societies like to head out to the pub/mantra after meetings so they meet up on Mon/Wed/Thurs.

Thanks! I was told it was on Tuesdays and Thursdays between those times, but never thought to ask where! I'll check it out on Tuesday.

I've found that the societies seem pretty well spread out over the four days of the week, and most seem to have two events at least. It's probably pretty feasible to make at least one event a week for whatever you join.
