Im currently looking to get my first irish degree (my other is american) and am hoping to find a single room to rent i have more or less found a great one but to be honest have never met such a bunch of greedy heartless gangsters. I have had people up the rent when i called to enquire about a room, i have had people throw in a extra bed to a already small room ect.

That should probably be a plot of land for sale rather than a house. Views could actually be spectacular if its overlooking the coastline.
Could be worth 200k, if it is, its BADLY advertised but i wouldnt be jumping to conclusions that its a rip off.
