Absolutely! I was playing on trailerpark and the other team kept calling in UAV. It's such a disadvantage to a team to be constantly exposed by UAV.

In one of the Boards Comp matches, the three of us ran UAV as killstreak. I also went with care package. And hardline. So basically there was a UAV up the whole game. Made the 3v3 so much easier. JevN ended up running Coldblooded in the 3rd match when he noticed what was happening. The match was won at that stage though.

On larger maps and when not in threat of imminent death, i've started shooting down alot of UAV's to try and counter this.

People rarely seem to think of shooting them down, be it with rocket/gun. Ironically saving them for choppers/harriers which alot of times are obtained using 3-5-7.

Re the boards comp matches - Just wondering can i get involved in these? Wouldn't mind upping the challenge with good players!

First ever rant on this thread I think,
Just played a game of sabotage, I was the only person I could see that actually wanted to plant the bomb out of the two teams, got killed a hell of a lot of times which im not too botherd about but why would anyone bother playing sab or any other game type and make no effort to do the objective. Bloody infuriating!

Fancied a game so went downstairs joined a game of HQ in progress and was put on the winning team but one of my team mates was 11 kills 58 deaths and level 70 Prestige 10. Everyone has a bad day, but that's a different story, even on my worst day I'd never get a K/D ratio that's nearly 1:6.

Worst I've done was probably something like 30/40 or 25/35. I usually manage to get my kills up. Like when I started that game I was 1/8 and ended on 20/25, not great but nowhere near as bad as 11/58.

I got CBP on the back of UAV's. They are quite frequent again, so you'll get the 40 "shoot-downs" very quickly if you pick off UAV's constantly.

Depending on your accuracy and distance from it, it can take less or more than 1 clip. It has 700 health, so a Scar (40/30 damage per bullet) will take it down in between 18-24 bullets, depending on range. With SPP, it'll do it in 13-17 bullets.

ive just downloaded the resurgence pack and as usual I love it (there all new to me as MW2 is the first call of duty ive played)

I am now about to enter my 4th prestige and even with the new maps the gameplay is getting a bit tedious, maybe because I get about 20 kills a match and im happy with that, and each time i complete nearly ever challenge

However what would be good and might add a bit more spice to gameplay, would be if they released another pack (not maps), but weapon upgrades such as new weapons and attachments, maybe even a flamethwower.

What is it with ppl trying to sell prestiage lvl 70 titles & emblems for MW2.
Twice in last few days I got pinged online on XBOX asking if I wanna trade points for this. I told them where to stick their offer....

I'm no expert but aint this cheating ?

I got one of those "chain mail" spam messages saying that if I pass the message onto another 50 gamers I'd automatically unlock prestige level 10. I wonder how many actually fall for that con. We live with enough spam online and now we are getting on the PS3.

Anyways, i replied to the sender and told him i was a Sony Customer Care representative (lying of course) and that his account is now being put forward for cancellation because of promoting spam.

Within 10 minutes I had a message back pleading for forgiveness and that he wont ever do it again, so I let him off with a warning.

Anyone that gets this spam should do that.

A flamethrower isn't exactly modern warfare. Give WAW a go, it has a flame thrower, although if I remember, you don't unlock it until you are nearly prestige.

Nope, that's not either. The flame thrower was a bit of craic on WAW but in terms of being much use, not so.

The only real issue is spotting them in the air. They tend to fly so low around the map, if you're on the wrong side of it, you'll never find them.

Sometimes I find myself spinning around in circles listening for the Stinger's locking-on sounds but I never find it

I usually take them out with my primary weapon, handy with Tar but not as easy with UMP because of the shorter range.

Ha, many a time I've been picked off and in my killcam all I see is me, looking up spinning around, I must look like a complete tool to the guy who shot me

some maps are easy to find the UAVs, Sub Base and Underpass are a pain due to low visibility in the air, Afghan you can spot them a mile away.

Last night I was playing Domination on Invasion, enemy team got a harrier, I was just shot so quickly selected my anti air class, whipped out my stinger, fired it, missed even though it was locked on. reloaded, fired again, missed AGAIN. then a teammate fired both of his and BOTH missed. wtf?! I've seen chopper gunners and pavelows use flares to make a few stinger missiles miss but a harrier usually goes down in 1. could have been lag I guess we both had yellow bars at the time.

Whats the story with the lads that can destroy your harrier AND pavelow with just one stinger?

Same thing has happened to me a few times with Harriers and a stinger - sometimes it just won't connect after locking on, so maybe it is lag indeed.

If a Harrier and Pavelow are close enough to each other, it's easy enough to take them both out. I did it again last night by locking on to the Harrier with a stinger. The Pavelow was very close to it so I assume it just gets caught in the blast radius of the Harrier.

It's nothing to do with any special gear. They just wait till the two are in close proximity, then shoot down the harrier. I guess the thinking is that the explosion knocks out both??

no the second i call in my pavelow its not even on the map yet and i hear boom, both are gone by the one chap, one stinger. I know u can get both by shooting them when theyre together but its not that. Hmmm...

I'm not saying there's a "right" and "wrong" way to play MW2. But there's no skill involved in camping in a corner with a HBS waiting for some poor kid to run past and get killed. Two Lobbys (out of 3 I just played) were FULL of people doing this. I mean I ran around sub base twice and didn't see a person on the enemy team once. Then in highrise everyone was using akimbo rangers. Bah.

Played sht all day today. In around 3 hours I got 1 predator. Kept getting 'tubed, or commando'd or akimbo'd before every killstreak.
