New research has emerged confirming what many already supposed.
T. rex appears to have had the most efficient and damaging bite of any of the theropod dinosaurs. By contrast, the giant
Carcharodontosaurus had a much more primitive and inefficient bite. This will surely ad fuel to the 'who would win in a fight?' brigade.
However, once again the bite force of the giant mega shark
C. megalodon puts them all to shame with the strongest bite in the fossil record.
Also, very interestingly, it appears that
Archaeopteryx had a bite very similar to
Velociraptor, further strenghtening the link between dinosaurs and birds.
Certainly, much food for thought.
