Okay since several committee members want a say in who is on the committee that runs Inferno we can do a vote on it.

Personally I honestly don't like the idea of a 'committee' , would rather community representatives, an agreement that all discussion takes place on the forum and that no person should run an event on entirely his own.
Assuming that opinion is in the minority and this goes ahead I'll reply with this:

this seems to be just an 'inferno committee' rather then 'the irish street fighter committee' right?
I'll leave out Mr_Kyle in that case.
My nominations are in addition to those already listed by azza and include azza himself obviously. I'm not sure Jim want to be on or even wants a committee but I'll include in him anyway until he makes his postion known.
I don't want to be nominated.
I'll help where I can and when asked, mainly looking at media/promotion stuff and I'm sure Terry will help me out too there as he has been.
Still though it'll suck missing out on all this stuff that'll be discussed by whatever 5 members end up in this committee if this happens.
Again I'd rather what I initially said in this post.

You called it inferno committee here, thats a lot narrower than what it was called in the other thread.

So these are obvious choices for me. These people will attend almost every meetup and will always be up to date with what is going on.
Azza: i would also nominate based on his previous running of the infernos.
Chunkis: Valuable experience and contacts.
There are others that i could mention (a-trak, dreddy) but their activity seems to have died down a little recently for whatever reasons (or maybe thats just me?!).
I would also nominate myself if i didn't have to finish a PhD over the summer. And finally sisko has asked not to be nominated.
Edit: I understand that this list is dublin-biased but in fairness, the heart of the community is based in dublin and thats the way it is.

How about we keep this thread to just voting posts seeing as Azza is going to have to count them at the end and having done that I know what a pain in the arse it can be. We've had months and months to argue this, we'll have plenty of time after too.

This is not a thread for discussion. I don't want ANOTHER thread descending into exactly the same argument with exactly the same points being made.
If you have a problem with this pm me but I would point out that arguing against a moderator on thread is against the rules anywhere on boards.

that's true that I haven't been as active recently but a lot of that has been down to personal issues I don't want to go into, I've been back playing more the last week or so.

I'm pretty new so I don't know a lot of you.
But when I was playing
Chopper
in casuals he was really helpful in telling me what I was doing wrong, and how to counter what he was doing (whether or not I could pull it off was up to me) rather than just steamrolling me for the win (which he could have easily done), and I think having an established player who's willing to spend time improving newbies on the committee is a good thing.
Also last casuals I went to were run by
Orim
, who was doing a really stand up job.

OK, I really don't know what the hell is going on here any more. There seems to a few different topics on committees.
I notice a few gents have put me down as a potential candidate. If we are talking an Irish committee, then I will ofc represent the North if need be. If the committee is meant for a more local area such as Dublin or events in Dublin - then it would take people closer to Dublin than me.
My votes and why:
Azza - because he got things rolling
Jim - streetfighter.ie
DooM - boards mod
Dreddy - already has treasurer experience
Chopper - sound bloke & cares alot about how things are done
D4rk Onion - rep for starting things in your end of the country
