There has to be a balance. You do need the big name, star players and form players.

No Nasri is a lot more ridiculous than no Benzema IMO. Nasri is fresh out of a very good season and the French midfield isn't that strong. Very odd ommition.

It's already chockful of tricky dribblers as it is, though Nasri would be a shade better than Ben Arfa for my money and less likely to cause hassle. They've each played the exact same number of games this year, so that's not an issue, although the level of those games should maybe be.

He's not bringing four keepers and eight strikers anywhere. They are part of an initial 30 man party from which 7 players will be dropped.

Spain picked 5 keepers in their 30. Looks like del Bosque is even more crazy based on that logic.

Form and sharpness and Henry is there? I honestly wouldn't try get inside Domenechs head.

He's a former Lyon youth product himself and heavily favours players who have played or are playing there so all the more strange Benz is left out.

I hope France win the ****ing thing. Didn't feel like this right after the result against us but considering how embarrassing everyone was in their reaction to it I'm all for supporting France.

He's definitely a big name. Real Madrid spent tens of millions of euros on the guy. That doesn't mean that he's a great player, in fact I don't think he's all that good. You would expect him to make the squad though.
