I know many people do meet someone else and get married and live happy lives ever after.

Personally, I don't think I would., but never say never I suppose.

I would be more inclined to marry if the divorce process wasn't so retarded in this country. You simply cant live your entire life with the same person (some exceptions exist) It would get boring or you would end up hating each other.

For those of you with a bit of grá for Irish history, here's a great story of an Irishman who was married and had a concubine at the same time. Neither the Roman Catholic colonialists, who want to portray the Irish as being eternal practicers of modern-day Catholic marital beliefs, or British imperialists who want to portray the Irish as backward and conservative would be keen to acknowledge historical realities such as this.

Was in the graveyard today putting flowers on my Grandmothers grave,when i seen a man on his knees crying and shouting out "why did you die...why why??"

I went over and asked him was he ok and said" you must have loved her very much to be so upset...was she your wife??"

He turns round and says "NO ....its my wifes first husband!!!"

I am very happily married and although it was my second wedding, it was every bit if not more special than the first.
