    If you are a beginner then it’s best to get out before the water starts to approach the rocks protecting the sea front. But also remember that is the tide is coming in to could appear to be a good way off the rock but come in quicker than you expect – this is because the tide moves fastest at mid tide then slows down approaching high tide http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_twelfths
