My favourite would be the Mars rovers. The information they've gathered and pictures they've beamed back have been phenomonal!!:)

Cassini-Huygens for me... I followed that mission daily over a period of around 2 years. It proved that we can land on distant objects, for one, but I guess that was fairly obvious anyway.

A tough one, The Mars rovers come to mind just as the amazing discoveries from the Hubble. Going to the launch of STS-126.
I guess just watching the construction on the ISS is my top. Like LL the Columbia accident in 03 was the low point.

I find the discovery of exoplanets the most interesting. But Yea Mars Rover for everyday progress!!!

My list at the top would have to be Endevours repair mission to Hubble{i was sick so could indulge myself with ALL the spacewalks,Spectaculor live video and the crew were SO funny and full of improvisations by a crew who knew it would never be seen again by a SS}

The Marsrovers when i was losing interest due to lack of access to information and coverage,Well Your friend Leo Enright enthused so much that i nearly got banned from a Library for not being able to pull myself away from the screen when my allotted time was up!

as has been said the slow but steady completion of the ISS,loved the installation of solar panels and then watch them babies unfurl:)

The fact that in a minor way Gene Rodenberrys vision of the future became a reality on the ISS{how brave he was to write a show that had Russians,Chinese,Black women,aliens with pointy ears,and even a Scottish bloke;) on an equal basis,challenging all stereotypes in the early 1960,s:eek:}
Arthur C Clarke lived to see the 'Clarke Belt' go digital before He died!He done the maths that made geo-sync become a reality! Dont think he forsaw Porn channels being broadcast from there though!:)

Since the decade is not over I am fairly fired up about the launch of WISE the infrared telescope just launched.All going to plan it will map the sky in infrared and lord knows what it will find?unlike spirit&oportunity it cannot exceed its lifetime as its onboard coolent can not be extended beyond nine months.

nearly forgot, Seeing the shuttle with its orange tank for the first time with my naked eye I will never forget!!!!!

Columbia shocked me to the bone to the point that i cannot think about Spaceflight/Astronomy without thinking about it and as ya well know often makes me go off-topic in STS threads.

actually when i finally got home and got to My bed i realised my mistake but was so tired i said to Myself: Self ya can correct it later,forgot that there is NO mercy in this Game,Jeez I was shocked at the amount of posts about it when i checked:eek:

Ok Endevour was the 'rescue' standby for Atlantis,I prefer to be pulled up if a post is incorrect.
I often think that a casual reader of ANYTHING STS must think we are crazier than we really are, Like the way we say ET instead of External Tank.

They have got to be concened about a thread containg ET(the movie)is not moved to a Cinema forum:pac::pac::D

In the spirit of the season i forgive You and will never bring anything like You declaring docking on STS-129 confirmed while actually it was still only at the dodgy soft dock stage:pac::pac::)

Atlantis' mission to Hubble was highlight for me too. I followed that mission probably more closely than any mission. I actually used Twitter. Exciting mission, really risky space-cowboy stuff, not just another routine ISS construction mission.

Beeker the Soyuz docking was pretty cool! what I really like is the simple words Cosmonauts use(at least by NASA.s translation) "we will turn right now" for instance!;)
