Like the 'Song of the Day' thread in the general music section of boards, I thought it would be good to get one going here too in experimental. Everyone can post one track per day that has meant something to them that day for whatever reason.

Today for me its 'Epilion' by Musicology (B12). Just listening again now and it really is a spectacular piece of electronica... absolutely love the intro and build into the track.

I still haven't got that album and listening now to this track I feckin have to get a copy! Richard H Kirk is such a genius, really love his work in the various aliases he has worked under and of course also as Cabaret Voltaire.

Bleep.com had it listed a while back in CD format and I ordered a copy... got an email the next day to say they didn't actually have it! Must pick it up 2nd hand when the funds allow...

Yeah I nicked a copy off my brother, he's in Oz at the moment so I should get away with it for another while. Had heard of him before but never investigated until I rummaged through my brothers CDs after he left. I think I'll have to investigate further because he's one of those guys who I ended recording off the radio without knowing who he is only to refind the songs years later.

I don't know if you have his release 'Digital Lifeforms' as Sandoz, well worth picking up a copy if not... an example from the reissue which includes a bonus 2nd disc...

No I haven't got that. I actually don't know much of what he's done at all, never even heard of that pseudonym before. Only recently discovered he was Cabaret Voltaire. As I said I must investigate further cos I like what I've heard.
