Don Murphy (one of the producers of Transformers) has bought the rights to adapt James Robert Smith's novel 'The Flock' into a Warner Brothers film. The story is based around the idea of a group of prehitoric terror birds (most likely
Titanis walleri) living in the modern day Florida Everglades. Suffice to say people die.
It's about time the terror birds got their own movie. Heck, every other prehistoric beastie has one at this stage. They did, however, have brief appearance in Roland Emmerich's 10,000BC, which is widely considered to be the best scene in the film.
The film is pencilled in for release in 2011.
