I went to the funeral and it was very emotional. Ronan's speech was amazing and it was a very fitting tribute to Stephen.

I was outside the church and a lot of people laughed.
The moisturiser was funny too! Stephen did have a great sense of humor! Im sure he would have found it funny.

I thought it was a fabulous ceremony. the sing was beautiful. Ronan did us proud singing. Im sure it must have been very difficult for him.
It was a lovely send off for Steo! RIP.

True and what's really heartbreaking is that, as anyone that has lost someone close will know, what they feel right now is only a fraction of what's to come. Three or four weeks time on some ordinary day when all the condolences and well wishes pass and they are just doing something day to day it will hit them hard.

Same for the family. The worst is too come for them all. Wasn't really a Boyzone fan to be honest but you have to feel for five close mates who hung out together and worked together so closley and then one of them is snatched from the world like that.

They are a lucky bunch all things considered I guess but I think that just makes it all the more saddening that it's ended for them for what seems like such a tragic and freak pointless way to go.

I am from Swords originally, which was a small town growing up, and yet I have lost three friends who have choked in their sleep like this. Two were on sofas and one was camping.

Anyway .. guess life goes on.

And idiot girls shouting at Westlife and Shayne Ward to wave at them and screaming when they went past. I'm sure they were a small minority but it was obvious why those muppets were there and it wasn't to pay their respects.

Have to agree, it was completely inappropriate. There's a time and a place for taking pictures and a funeral is definitely not it.

unfortunatly some people are so blinded by celebraty and stardom they totally forget whats happening around them, the same ones are probably at home now ringing round their mates 'yeah, you see on tv today, it was well wicked man'. its an example of this material word and where people forget those basic human emotions

Where I was standing there was just a bunch of girls who talked all the way through the readings, the gospel and the speeches. It was completely obvious they were just there to celebrity spot especially as they whipped out their cameras when everyone started to leave.

I don't think the actual funeral (lowering of the coffin) should be televised but someone like Stephen had fans all over who would like be part of the service. There were no cameras inside the church as far as I know and the actual burial won't be filmed.

The young girls screaming at Westlife is not on but then you know, maybe that is quite fitting also as that was Stephen's life in Dublin. Everywhere he went girls would be shouting, screaming and asking for autographs etc.

So maybe in a way, those fans shouting and stuff are an apt way to be seeing him off.
