Yeah Sony are a-holes though, MS now give 3 year warranties and Sony still give a 1 year warranty.

I hate sony for exactly that though, Ive bought 3 psp's in my time and when i opened the first one it had loads of dead pixels on it, they said that was "perfectly normal" and that i couldnt change it. a*seholes, So for that reason i made sure not to buy a PS3 or a bravia telly when i was getting a new one recently.

had a ps2 for years and years and if it started to make strange noises just had to whack the top of it and it would keep on going:D
wouldnt feel as confident doing that to an xbox or ps3
just not made as shturdy as they used to be:p

Yeah Sony really are the s**t at customer service, I keep trying every so often ringing them hoping that they will repair it for me for free and so friends did that.

Watchdog did a report on the YLOD and Sony came back with a 6 page reply on how they treat their customers and the problem

Yet Sony bring out the PS3 slim and don't repair the problem of the YLOD

Sony's customer service problems arent limited to their hardware.

Star Wars Galaxies (an MMO) had such problems that the player held a mass peaceful protest in game, squatting in one of the market places. This humorous response to piss poor services was handled how?

By Sony banning all of the participants accounts from the servers without refund.
