Best place for mens' haircut

where's the best place to get a fellas hair cut in galway.

been around to lots of barbers/ hairdressers and ive never been pleased with the result. either way too short or the style didnt suit at all.

give me your thought on where to go. now, im not looking for someplace that mega expensive or anything.

The girls place is Pink and House of Grafton is the fellas place. Went there before. Definitely the best haircut I've found in Galway. They take ages doing it too which is a good thing.

got mine in headmaster's in doughisgha n saturday, 12 euro, good cut guy's where not like usuall barbers they actually having a laugh with us. even though i didnt have a go at it they hava dartboard for ya to play while u wait

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I didn't see the point in starting a new one only to see it merged, five minutes later. Anyway... have let the hair grow for a few months and don't want it butchered when I get it cut, so I need a good barber(preferable to a hairdressers) who can cut longer hair without having to go down the short, back and sides route. Any recent recomendations would be appreciated.

Hey guys,

What's the story with House of Grafton barbers on Shop Street? They seem to be a different barbers now, called "Pink!" or something and have a different decor down the hallway. I remember before Xmas they moved into a place across the road (now occupied by "Slight Indulgence"), but now there seems to be no reference to them except for a sign outside "Pink!" saying "Grafton Barbers". Are they still operating, albeit under a different name, or is this a new joint altogether?

If it's just a new name, do they still do gents haircuts? They were the best haircut in Galway prior to this.

New place is classy. Not too sure if the prices changed but it is the best barbers in town. Large flat screen TVs, comfy chairs and, most importantly, excellent barbers who don't rush you.

Was just thinking of heading for a haircut and was just wondering if anyone had been to house of grafton since they reopened? I never used to go until they moved across the road and found them good.Was wondering if the prices have gone up or anything? Whats the new spot like? Thanks!

9 euros is as good a price as you will get must give the place a try.
i found chicks haircuts a bit old fashioned but used to enjoy a chat about his boxing days and his small farm.

for such a big place i can't believe the price they charge for a haircut in galway. you pay 12-15 euro and thats considered cheap. in dublin they'll do it for 5 in places. i miss Chic, although he concentrated more on his stories than making an even haircut.

That place in Eyre Sq SC (can't remember the name of it - beside New Look) is usually €13, usually do a pretty good job on my hair too, although I'm a non fussy short back and sides fella.

What's the cheapest barber in town?

I use Tom Nally, have done for years. About €14 for a haircut.

From talking to people at work(who live in various galway towns), Galway city seems excessive for mens haircuts.

Whatever happened to the barber named Ollie who worked in Fat Tony's in the Liosban Industrial Estate up until last year? The guy wasn't a barber - he was a tricho-engineer! I heard he moved to some other place in Galway.

House of Grafton is the best for mens hair , you tell them what you want and they always get it right from my experience and it grows out properly , no comment on the womens side ...never used it
