The right hand lane entering a roundabout should be used for going straight only where there is only one lane at the exit, or unless the road markings state otherwise. The two large roundabouts up in Tyrellstown are notorious for morons who dont know the above, I've honestly lost count of the times when I've almost collided with these cretins who use the right hand lane to overtake those rightfully queing to go straight in the left hand lane.
Stark wrote: » Which roundabouts are those? Because in some of the cases around Tyrellstown, the "exit after 180 degrees" rule applies. In general, the roundabouts around Ballycoolin/Tyrellstown are a nightmare when it comes to choosing a lane I find. There's one in particular with about 3 lanes at some exits/entrances, 2 at others, 1 at others and about 4 lanes on the roundabout itself. I used to always try and use the last exit as I knew that I had to use the right-most lane in that case until they closed off that one for roadworks.

But, (unless they've fixed it recently) there's no "One-Way" or "No Entry" sign at the top of William St! (He wasn't from Limerick himself)

Then I look left just to see how the traffic is from that side. By the time I reach the junction I have stopped and am looking in front of me to see the car who had been coming from the right stopped right in front of me, driver looking at me like a f***** idiot. He then drives off again. I can only conclude that he saw me looking the other way, thought I wasn't paying attention and deliberately tried to make me crash into him! A$$hole!

Old B*stards seing you approach at 100 km/h on the open road, waiting till you're 100 meters away, then pull out with cattlebox and do 30 km/h in front of you, while keeping out as far as possible, so you can't overtake. W*nkers. Woman in Micras. Nuff said. B*stards driving in the OVERTAKING lane of the motorway 2 km/h below the speedlimit purely for the purpose off pissing other motorists off with their ignorance. ALL driving in Limerick: Traffic lights are pretty, but meaningless. So are yellow boxes. All signs (ESPECIALLY loading bay) are only there for the fun. if you want to get out for half an hour to get yourself and ice cream, that's ok. Taxis are allowed to park anywhere, anytime and just shrug their shoulder when shouted at. Because they have the charm compassion and intelligence of a rusty, broken vicegrips. Tennage mums using their prams as battering rams to push through traffic. Some Limerick pedestrians actually WAIT for the light for cars to go green. Then cross the road. Slowly. Whilst looking at the cars with a "what you're gonna do" smile. Sadly they never get their head rolled over by a bus. Not that they'd notice. Funniest thing ever: Santa being run down outside Brown Thomas last X-mas. But worst thing ever: Horsebox using the dual carriageway to do a U-turn. Went on the on ramp, turned the wrong way onto the dual carriagway and used the off ramp to get off. Scores of cars beeping, flashing, shouting, but since the avreage horsebox driver has an IQ less than his cargo, I don't hink he noticed. The only things on his mind was probably "I really need to find a loading bay and get myself an icecream" Funnily enough though I think driving has improved here, back in the 90's it was dreadfull. There where only 2 kinds of drivers, 30 km/h or 130 km/h. You had to pick a side and fight the other. It's more civilised today, believe it or not.
