I've decided to give this a go. Has any one here done this? Would you recommend it. What should I expect?

Do you mean taking a course in how to do it or getting it done?

I've done a bit but nothing in detail. I've also gotten into hypnosis with a view to going down this route.

Im a bit fuzzy on this. Many people who do it seem to have been someone famous in a previous life. No one ever seems to have been a stable boy, or a famine struck child in a previous life.

Hehe, famous eh?! I've an appointment next Thursday so I will come back and let you know if I was indeed famous in my past life..... you'd never know.... I might just have been that one stable kid!!

Thats something people always seem to say and I presume it comes from somewhere but no one I know has had that experience with it.

I've found that the opposite is in fact true. After all, out of the many billions of people that have ever lived, it's very unlikely that you'll have been someone famous.

I did a past life regression session in 2006 at the Ontario Hypnosis Centre in Toronto. I was there giving a Sports Hypnosis workshop to their graduates.

When I did my session, it turns out I was a shepherd in my "past life". Very unspectacular life I lead!

A guy i know had it done. He remembers being a small boy in another country. He was washed into the sea.
He went to the other country and found the house he was supposed to have lived in and then found a grave of the exact same name .

wow. i once read of that kind of thing into a novel but never thought that this was actually something was being done in reality. any suggestion where i can do that?

There was an episode of the Twilight Zone where in an alternate universe people remembered who they were in a past life and carried grudges for decades. I could be mistaken but in the end the trick was that a normal human had to teach how to forget their past lives or something!

The famous people think always makes me laugh esp when people try and then explain
it with references to soul shards.

It's not always pleasant tbh, as I have found things which have a big impact on a
soul/person are the dramatic things and not the every day or the happy.

When someone is carring a big fear of something unrelated to this life time it helps to be able to step back and see where it may come from. I had a client that everytime she lay down she could hear her self screaming in her head. This had been going on for years. With a past life memory she remembered herself as a child being held down to be beheaded in France during the time of marie Antoinette. It was nothing the child did but the family that she was belong to. With her remembering the screaming that she heard in her head stopped instant. What I call a good healing to!!!:)

My friend had it done. You have to be an observer when you do it. In one life she was quite well of & in another life her husband murdered her!:mad:

Ive been soooo interested in all paranormal.Have never had any experiences but wud love to try the past life regression!!Is there anyone in mayo or even in the west can do it??

Just a warning that there has been various tests which failed to prove the ability to remember past lives.

A rather strange boss that I had in London treated us to this after a very interesting conversation we had. There were 3 of us and I went in first afair. Id never been hypnotised before as Id be very wary of someone messing with my mind.

I dont actually remember much except being very relaxed and just seeing the colours black and white alot. It was like a white landscape with a black tree, I can still see it in my head. It was like a spooky moonlight scene. I dont think I remembered anything of a life, just that one scene and that could be a memory from this life as I live in a very wooded area at home. It stood in my memory as you wouldnt really see a lone tree except by the giants graveyard just above my house.

So, basically, I did do it but didnt really regress into anything, nevermind a past life. The only regret I have about doing it is that I dream about the tree sometimes and when I try to walk forward to it I get very afraid and know there is something ehind me but have to wake myself up before i turn around in the dream or I will see whatever it is that frightens me so much. I never manage to screw up the courage to turn as the feelings of malevolence coming from who/whatever is behind me are too scary.

All I got was a recurring bad dream. Typical!

Interesting idea that. When I was a child I seemed to have a fear of suffocating or drowning or something of that sort. A few years ago someone suggested that I might have died by drowning or similar in a past life.

Not that I've seen a hypnotherapist about it!

Don't know anyone in the West who does past life regressions, but in Dublin Shirley Johnson does it, at the Walmer Holistic Centre in Raheny. :cool:

What confuses me is how do you know that what you are saying when under hypnosis for past life regression is true? I mean isn't it possible that the mind, the imagination, is "creating" it all?

I remember many years ago hypnotising a guy at school, I was only 16 and was simply doing what I'd read in some book but seemed to work. I was amazed how easy it was, the guy swore he hadn't been hypnotised but had no recolection of some simple tasks I asked him to do, stand up and walk in circles etc etc. Anyway, also hypnotised my sister and told her that her leg was heavy but never reversed that suggestion and for hours after she walked with a bit of a limp, lol. Not something to laugh about really I guess. I think hypnosis can be open to huge abuses and would myself be slightly worried about seeing a hypnotist, lol. I know hypnosis works because I have had experience of it but when it comes to past life regressions, I'm not so sure?

Is it that it simply has to be accepted on "faith"?

To this day I cant, infact that experience I had is very important to me.

We are interdimensional cosmic beings that can access any part of the universe at will. That is if you evovled;)

i would have to agree with ya on this one. although I would still love to give it a go sometime.

I had me fortune (future) told years back and it was totally different to the way me life turned out.
He told me that in 2003 I would be either travelling around Europe or Australia.
Real life, My depression got worse and I suffer from Agoraphobia and cant even go into town to buy me clothes because every time I try I have a panic attack.
Told me I would be succesful by the time I was 25.
Im 26 now and dont have a job for the last 2 years cos I cant get far enough from me house to work.

I was getting hypnosis off that fella at the time for my agoraphobia so maybe he was over thinking his powers.
If ya know anyone who can do it over the phone thats not premium rate call I would love it. Kinda feel im never gonna get better be nice to hear what he/she says

yeah, the majority of people wouldn't remember anything like that. I think that's why they undergo hypnosis to 'remember'. A friend of mine went to a registered clinical hypnotherapist for a past life regression session and she found out she was a guy in a past life! S'pose that's hardly extraordinary tho - being a different gender in a previous life. WoW. :eek: What was more interestin was that she was a guy during Victorian times in London and used 2 work as a blacksmith apparently. Cool.

I went on a past life regression talk which David Wells did in London. He did a bit of guided hypnosis too. I remember someone asked him how could several people all claim to be Cleopatra in a past life. He said something about alternate dimensions or fragmented souls. It was confusing enough to shut everyone up, but didn't really cut it as an explaination for me.
