We were getting the doors replaced around the house down stairs and the infa red sensor needed moving aswell as the panic alarm. I moved them both and had to rewire them as the chippie had accidently cut the cable. So i opened the casing and ran some new wire from it out to the panic button and then on to the infa red sensor making sure to follow the previous wiring. The panic button is working fine but now the infa red light just remains on all the time. Also the internal siren is fed off the infa reds positive and negative and doesnt ring when the alarm goes off outside. Its like the infa red is getting an error and power for some reason isnt continuing on to the internal siren. When i try and arm the alarm it says the system is ok and comes up saying leave now but it just stays on that and never properly arms. Any suggestions on why the IR stays on?

Ive done electronics in college so its not like its completely alient to me. Since ive connected it theres something wrong with the pir whic is leaving it permanently on and the internal ringer isnt operating if i set the alarm off. Whatever it is is also stopping the alarm from properly arming though. Initially there was a fault on the display saying fuse and 230v as i had turned off the power and removed the fuse but when i go to arm the alarm and it goes through the system check those vanish and it says system ok.

The internal ringer hasnt been changed in any way, the only wiring change was the panel to the PIR but the PIR led remains on at all times. Forgetting about the internal ringer compltely any ideas why the PIR led is staying on constantly?
