Well I couldn't resist making an August thread. Does anyone else reckon calls will start this week or next? I wonder who will be the first to get the call? Oooh its so exciting.

oooohhhhh i really want the call to come in my direction... coming into work and banging my head on the same spot on my desk is really starting to take it's toll.... losing the will to live every day.... who'd work in the public sector....... me, but only if it's the polis!:D

id imagine theyl be starting this thursday also. bound to be a few up for the call on here. not me unfortunately. it makes me sad as its impossible to not get your hopes up lol

youll get the call before me surely. same religion, higher merit and definately vetting cleared. im still unsure of vetting and have heard f all about smt aswell

my STD test came back all clear which is good though

If its early knock off today are we taking it as no calls going out then?
Suppose there's a very good chance no-one from the boards got in the Aug intake and it may be a case of waiting until October.
A friend of mine has a sisiter who has her dates for Aug SID etc - no idea if its a deferral or they just had the call this week but the dates match with what i would expect - i only speak to them once in a blue moon though.
Is it time to put this one to bed and settle down for a nice long wait again???

i think your probably right. time to forget about it for another 8 weeks? jeez. i would have thought there'd be maybe one or two who got the call from here for august. definately wasnt expecting it myself, not even sure if i'll get the october call lol

no point in giving up hope yet. theres still loads of time left for the calls, if theyve started. i reckon the person youre talking about defered. 8 weeks for the calls for oct? i dont think its that far away is it. its most likely that theyll be out in about 6-7 weeks! if even.

well was looking that the calls for each intake are usually every 4 weeks or so, so once the august calls are done you'd be looking another 4 for the september intake if there was one, then another 4 for the octobe intake? either way, we're all used to the waiting lol im just struggling to put it out of my head now

I'm pretty sure there isnt a september course, due to the way there spaced out - you may get a course right at the end of a month then miss a month anf get the next course at the beginning of the following one if you get my drift.
The courses will still be spaced apart the same its just that a start date won't fall in one particular month of the year

I hope so mate; just have another 'wee' formality to pass and don't think it'll be in time for the Aug calls.

I didn't think calls would go out this week anyways, with the festivities etc.; I'm off all week!:cool:

Will be my last week off in July if I ever do get in!lol

Maybe they will start next week. Though by the boards masterminds calculations they should have started last week. My star sign for July says that I will receive a job offer on the 20th (monday). Would make a nice wee pressy for my birthday this month. LOL
